I don't think that the thr unlock zone happens on any store, but I have seen that inside the stores, the karts are locked even though the carts are not near the store exit, like Marshall's in NJ

Is there any way possible that this system could lock up an electric scooter when it comes in contact with the perimeter? Because I feel like it has happened and it resulted in a a very significant collision to the ground because I feel it locked up an electric scooter. So is that possible or not? Thank you for your time. I appreciate your rete and knowledge on the subject

What Happens if you lift the trolley over the perimeter wire? Do the wheels remain locked?

So does anyone know how they know which carts to lock from not going through self check out?? I'm so confused. I hear or read it was on a timer, but I'm thinking the store must watch you and from some room out a lock on a cart that they feel is suspect, am I understanding this correctly and it shouldn't interfer with a pacemaker?? So curious. Thank you.

My store is in an area where highly-sensitive radio receivers are used for research. What sort of radio frequencies and power levels are being used in this equipment?

If I remember correctly, it seems to operate in the 7.8kHz range. DEFCon has a video on how it works.

All you need is a portable audio recorder and a dynamic speaker like old can head phones to decode. 8 bit start 8 bit data 8 bit stop chirp. sdr wouldn't go down to the 7.9khz ish range. The SoC has built it 2.4GHz ism band comms. If you really had sensitive receivers used for research you'd know to not bother and just go look it up on the FCC database.

They should also put a scale on the cart that is tied to the checkout scale to make sure self-serve customers are scanning everything.

Walmart already does that. If you see Walmart employees holding a phone-like device at the self checkout, that's the different items that the customers are scanning. The employees can monitor that and check it accordingly.
