Me too. One of the reasons why I always played a Fem Revan. Course the romance with Bastila with a male Revan was more pronounced. I still liked the Carth and Fem Revan romance as he eventually overcame his issues with Revan and fell for the female Revan.

I was going to bring up the same thing. But also he looks a little gaunt in the face compared to the original character. Maybe it needs to be different to avoid trouble?

@@RealSensationalBeing not sure, but I think he does look a bit older than what we would assume he was in the original game ( I personally expected him to be in his late 20s early 30s) but here he looks like he's in his 40s

I’m just going to quickly run through some valid criticisms of his appearance that others have mentioned and that I have also noticed: • His eyebrows look off, and I personally think his eyes look off. If I remember correctly, Kaiden Alenko from the mass effect series had a very similar face to Carth, especially around the eyes. Might be a good reference. • His hairline is too high, though maybe only slightly, and his hair strands need to be larger. • fuller/more square/ broader jaw • Slightly darker skin tone • His neck is too long • His body needs to be bulkier, he’s too skinny for a soldier • His beard needs to be fuller/ more “rustic” • Maybe a few less wrinkles

@@chriso4006 That's what I was thinking too. Also, I know I said the hair was perfect, but looking again I see the sideburns are a little off and his 5 o'clock shadow isn't as deep/filled out here. More than anything though, I think the face is throwing me off more than the small hair differences

Love this project to but this design just looks of, to skinny, the face doesn't resemble the original. *shrugs* Cart is a soldier and should be built as one, not a spice addict.

Yeah, just add a little bit more weight to the guy, make him slightly more built and have a fuller, healthier looking face. He kinda looks... Scarily thin at the moment.

Carth was a real good bro to Zayne Carrick in the KOTOR comics. Carth was one of the first to believe in Zayne and see him for the hero he truly was. Revan was so lucky to have Carth as a friend too. I wish I had a friend like Carth irl.

Carth doesn't look as handsome as he did in kotor.. My only beef but he does look awesome the details of his hair, outfit, effects, the environment are fantastic! If this is the final look I'll deal with it because everything else looks amazing! Great work thank you for doing this. 🙌

Love your work so far! I hope you are open to some feedback though. I think Carth needs to bulk up just a couple of notches. I like the wrinkles on his face, but his body reminds me of a teenager. They don't quite match. His face looks a little too long, making him look too young for the wrinkles. Maybe a slightly broader face. Also, maybe have the strands on his hair that come down a little thicker. Love his outfit and his weapons! Everything else was just amazing!!! I am so looking forward to this!

Really looking forward to the mini series, but this is the first thing you’ve shown that I’m not a real big fan of, I’ve watched your streams of creating characters and I understand you’re going for a more realistic look; but in regards to Carth, I feel like translating his kotor look into something more realistic is a bit off. Some of his key features aren’t there or a bit off, he’s a bit more husky in game helping with the whole soldier role, the hair that hangs over his face are thicker strands and his hairline is a bit further down, he also could be a bit tanner. I really hope you might touch up/adjust this model with some of the feedback people are giving. Either way I’m very excited for any updates to come!

yeah, I had the same fealing when whatching the teaser. I get that there going for a realistice look but that just didn't look like carth. this dosint consern me too much becose as a holl the project looks like its moving along great and I cant what to see more.

Animation is fantastic, on par with clone wars. A little bit of criticism: facial model of Carth seems of, doesn't look and feel like the original, needs some fixes. By the way, voice actor for Carth is just fantastic, as soon as he started speaking i heard Carth from the original game. Please, make the model feel the same.

I think it fits a mature Carth Onasi. One who's seen the destruction of his home before, lost his wife and adult son. This is, in my opinion at the least, what I would imagine he looks like.

@@evanthienes661 You don’t need to imagine, there is a game with his graphics, watch for example streams of playthrough on this channel, or search images on internet. Characters must not only look good, but close to original. Otherwise some who have seen or played KOTOR could not watch adaptation without feeling that this is not It.

This is phenomenal. I've been following your project since the start since as I'm sure kotor has been very dear to me since I was a child. This is honestly something special and since news of the kotor remake recently, there hasn't been a better time to be a kotor fan. Everytime I see one of your videos released I feel a surge of genuine excitement and honest happiness that I haven't felt since I was a teenage playing Kotor for the first time. When I saw the announcements for the official remake of Kotor I have to admit I felt nothing for it. I should have been over the moon but instead I felt a little disappointed. For you guys though it's different. I have complete faith in you guys. I know you will give a vision of Kotor that comes from the heart, one that is done out of the same love I feel for this story and these characters. The official remake will come out and no doubt I'll play it at some point, but I truly believe that I'll be coming back to your Kotor again and again. Your's is the Kotor I want because it's the Kotor that means so much to me. It's the one I remember.

Telling everyone I know. This is my 1st time hearing about this project. Watched all none stream vids before commenting. This is amazing. Idk why LucusFilms didn't just hire u guys. Since everyone else is critiquing Carth, I'll go over something not mentioned. The Sith troopers in the firefight were aiming a bit too high. Almost shooting at the celling/upper deck, rather than at Carth. Could be you haven't leveled the animations with cover in the way and/or kneeling?

Of course it is. This is KOTOR, the remake is exactly that - a remake. It won’t be the same as the original. Think ‘based on a true story’.

For you see, we haven’t even SEEN official footage for the Remake (outside of independent projects that Aspyr has made in previous years before they were halted (last I heard that is). The question is whether or not it would be worth expectations (as nostalgia and personal feelings would have to be met both for respect of the source; a faithful modern retelling of one of the best RPGs of its kind; and yet refreshing all the same). I’m still looking forward to this series hands down!!

I agree with the others saying he looks and feels off. He needs a sharper, more square jaw; less wrinkles (but definitely needs crows feet); thicker, scruffier five o'clock shadow; thicker hair; and a little bit more meat on his bones (not brawny, but definitely a bit more muscular).

I believe that all the videos are such unbelievably high quality that people don’t take the time to find out/or they just forget just how SMALL a team is working on this project. I get people wanting things to look a certain way but this is Unreal Cinema’s vision and not yours. If you want it to be a certain way, you can go ahead and learn and make your own project - and I mean that sincerely and not in a snide way. This project started out as an extremely small practice in unreal engine that wasn’t going to go further until it blew up and became the huge community and following it is today. Be mindful that this project is that same singular guy and a TINY team of VOLUNTEERS who take their small bit of free time to work on this for us fans. They literally don’t get any money to do this while they still work on school /other jobs full-time. We wouldn’t be getting any of this content if not for their dedication and passion. The team is built up of KOTOR fans like us. They want this to be great too. If you have constructive criticism, please say it, but don’t be overtly negative about it. There’s too much of that on the internet these days. That being said, thanks for continuing to work hard on this UC team! Every video fills me with more excitement for the release! May the Force be with you!

The face is off to me. But the outfit, the blaster, the hair, almost spot on. Except I wish he was dual-wielding blasters. Whether the face model was a creative decision or not, I'm still blown away and look forward to everything else.

In this day and age, the big companies are not likely to give the fans of a genre what they want. But it is the fans, the true fans, of the genre, that'll give what the fans long and yearn for, from the genre. I really hope this project goes through smoothly, it keeps showing improvement, and the potential on how amazing it'll become

Looks amazing in models and animation. No harm in having some more traditional fixed camera angles though, there was a lot of floating panning there. This is how the OT was filmed.

You could consider just looking at pictures of Luciano Costa (Mass Effect's Kaiden Alenko's face model) for face details, since it seems a lot of people associate the two characters pretty closely now
