Cartographers is a flip and write game that I covered in the earlier days of the channel and it has been expanded with not only Cartographers Heroes, but also individual map packs that shift the game in small, interesting ways. Map Packs 4, 5 and 6 are now released and I'm taking a look at all 3, giving my thoughts and letting you know which are my favourites and which you might want to look into!

Thanks another great review. I would probably go with Hornhelm , I like the option for more points and keeping track of other points/items

Thanks for the overview and reviews. I keep toying with getting more map packs to keep me coming back to the game more frequently. 5 and 6 do sound more interesting also when comparing to 1-3 map packs.

All these maps look great! I haven't played any of them yet, or the heroes expansion, but I think either map 5 or 6 looks great for what I am wanting to experience right now. Thanks for your thoughts on these.

With hornbeam do you essentially need the base game? The first item you described effects ruins which I don't have as I only have heroes :/ do the other map packs work if you only have heroes?

You don't need the base game because the map in Pack 6 has ruins on it for the limited effect that has on the game. Also, if you only have the base game (not Heroes), there's nothing stopping you from adding the one hero that comes with Pack 4. It will be the only hero you own, but it does add value to Pack 4 for those of us without Heroes.
