Cartoon RC Body - Done With Tamiya Spray Paint Cans

I try my hand at the cartoon / anime style RC body painting. It seems these are mostly done with airbrushing, but I'm doing it with good ol' rattle spray cans!
I've got to say thank you to ‪@RCHobbyShed‬ for the video walkthrough!

PS-1 White, PS-3 Light Blue, PS-4 Blue, PS-6 Yellow, PS-19 Camel Yellow, PS-55 Flat Clear.

You've done a fantastic job and you have fulfilled your own brief apart from the lettering which is more Purple Ronnie to be fair. I like it a lot.

I only use spray paint because I'm not an artist, I hate the tediousness of painting and masking and I don't like paying for a custom job that ill just get destroyed eventually. So I tried a cartoon job with a single solid colour and I had a lot of fun. For the next body I'll give shading a try but it really made a difference in my enjoyment of painting a body. I don't care if the fad dies out quick, I'll keep going with it because I had fun, and to me, that's what matters.

That look amazing ! I saw Mick's video about it and just like you said it looked so like a cgi effect on his video, something like that :) Do _not_ let any marshal step on it

Thank you! Yeah, it really did! It helps that his videos are always so well lit, so you can see every detail... then there's the cartoon shell! I REALLY hope it doesn't happen, but it's not like they asked for permission! 😆

Did you get many finger prints on the inside of the body when you did the cartoon lines??

None at all. Put the body down on the surface and hold it steady with your free hand. No need to touch the inside with your fingers.
