2018 Koenigsegg Agera RS VS 2018 Bugatti Chiron - World’s Fastest Cars!!

The Bugatti Chiron's tite of hitting 0-400-0 kmph in 42.96 seconds could barely last a month as Koenigsegg has managed to do the same, only about six seconds faster, on a Sunday and not even with its fastest car.
The whole point of records is that they are meant to be broken. It's the kind of motivation that makes the most competitive of us to step up the game for others. So, when the Bugatti Chiron went from 0-400-0 kmph in 41.96 seconds last month, all eyes were set on which car would manage to top this. That's some incredible feat anyway! However, little did Bugatti know that Swedish carmaker Koenigsegg, which broke the record earlier this week with the Koenigsegg Agera RS performing the same feat in 36.44 seconds, 5.5 seconds fewer than what Bugatti needed.
Koenigsegg test driver Niklas Lilja managed to achieve the incredible feat and the record was broken at an airfield in Vandel, Denmark. Not only was the Koenigsegg Agera RS faster across in the overall acceleration and braking time, it also hit 0-400 kmph in less time than the Bugatti - 26.88 seconds versus 32.6 seconds.
While you may think it was the automaker's idea to belittle Volkswagen's most priced offering; Koenigsegg says the run was made at the request of the car's owner who wanted to benchmark it against other hypercars.
(Koenigsegg Agera RS makes 1360 bhp with the optional pack and 1370 Nm of torque)
Interestingly, Koenigsegg Agera RS isn't the company fastest offering. That would go to the One:1. Nevertheless, the Agera RS is an absolute beast that draws power from a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. With an optional engine upgrade, the hypercar makes up to 1360 bhp of power and 1370 Nm of torque. Koenigsegg also packs in a removal roll cage in the car.

When the Bugatti finally came up to speed the Koenigsegg at the same time had already come to a stop after the breaking. Its not about taking a new world record its about to totally smash the previous one by a huge amount, there just wasnt any competition. Yep, the Swedes know once again what they are doing.

Considering the specific power outputs of turbocharged engines out there (like Koenigsegg, who takes their 5.0 L V8 up to 270 HP/L, or the Mercedes Project one, that achieves an unbelievable 465 HP / L with a tiny 1.6 L V6, as compared to the Chiron's 185 HP/L), I think the W16 in the Chiron is operating well below what it can really do. It can be pushed up to over 2250 HP if they can match Koenigsegg in specific power, but they'll have to sacrifice that absolutely flat torque curve from idle and find a way to cool all the heat.

That's one reason why Koenigsegg's 0-60 or even their quarter mile (Agera RS did 9.9 at 168 mph, note the speed though) isn't as good as it could be - too much power. That Twin Clutch Sequential they use doesn't help either. But after 2nd gear there's nothing to touch them. The Regera with its electric motors ought to do better in this department. But the Bugatti has 4WD and that helps with the 0-100. However, that huge engine, the size of the car's cabin, the AWD, additional structural weight, extra cooling requirements, fluids, shape of the car, huge tires and brakes, that big wing, all that adds to like 700-750 kg of extra weight.

@@srinitaaigaura actually Agera RS 9.9 seconds quarter mile was in the previous video engineering explained 0-100 kmph time was over 4 seconds because the track was wet In this video on Nevada highway run the condition and traction was very good But 0-100 kmph time was still eh at 3.5 but 1/4 mile time was 9.6 @168 mph that's similar as buggati Chiron 9.6 @152 mph it did on carwow

Non standard setting for the run, use of optional roll-cage for stabilization and strengthening the body and the most important, *high octane fuel that is E85* (close to race fuel) as quoted by Koenigsegg themselves. Koenigsegg V8 engine can use premium gasoline found on majority of supercars bringing the question of why the company did not run with it. The reason is the output of that engine running on gasoline is significantly lower than its E85 powered. So trying to compare the time between two vehicles running on different fuel especially the one using race fuel is pointless.

lol the bugatti is heavier with 700 kilos. the Agera reached its limit with this performance till the bugatti not even forced itself. a lot more potential in it! Just cut down it's weight and you'll see it! there's nothing to compare :) a bugatti driver doesn't need helmet, rollbar, flame resistant suit etc.

Jace Henderson, the Bugatti Chiron is fully capable of doing 290mph and maybe even 310mph. They have tested it. They ran the Bugatti Chiron’s engine at top speed for 10 hours straight! That speed doesn’t even show up on the koenigsegg’s gauge. Lol. I think the Bugatti Chiron looks better (that’s my opinion), and that’s yours. I think the Bugatti Chiron sounds better (that’s my opinion), and that’s yours.

Guys let me explain The konigsegg Agera RS 25 models were made 20 of them having 1140 hp. People were confused because how would a car go 284 with that much power. To go past 265 your car would have to master aerodynamic and power Yet YET there were 5 Konigsegg models that made 1360 hp with the konigsegg 1:one engine that was the one that did 284mph konigsegg
