Black locust is an interesting choice. Used to be used extensively in the Southeast for fence posts that lasted decades.

Its considered invasive here in Maine. I grab them whenever they show up, mostly around homes where the tree needs to come down for some reason.

Happy to provide the encouragement. I used the 4 inch grinder to get the belly out of the yoke.

That little notch may be for draining water, but does it also serve as a relief for the spine or neck vertebrae?

I suspect it is too slight to make the fit. maybe a rubber foam pad would be better.
