Kevin, I saw a movie once where these puppets came to life. If these guys do, you'll have no plumbing issues😄. They look like they know what they're doing. You never cease to amaze me!!!

Love it -we were just talking about a guy with a pipe wrench on our livestream Sunday so this is perfect

Doug you know what they say about great minds lol. I didn’t get to watch your livestream yet. I’ve thought about one of these for awhile now. I had an uncle who was a plumber. He wore the blue coveralls and had this big pipe wrench. I had another comment on this carving and he said he did a similar one about a month ago. This must be pipe wrench month. 😆

Man you make it all look so easy. I don't have a set of voices or v tools. But they seem to make some cuts easier. Keep up the great videos.

Thank you. I may have done something similar over the years. I have done probably 10,000 carvings or more over the years. Take a look at my Facebook page Kevin Coates Wood Carving. You may see something there

Great carving Kevin😊. As always I am amazed at the detail & creativity of your work & art. I noticed your use of gouges in this carving. I have been trying to use gouges also. What size gouges did you use? The pipe wrench is a wonderful added touch. Was it difficult to carve a piece that small? I always look forward to your videos.
@KevinCoates98 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Bruce. I'm not sure the size but they're not very big. Maybe 1/4"-1/3". That's a set I bought when I first started carving

Every time I watch one of your videos I wonder what kind of wood you used. It seems to be somewhat harder than basswood but easy to work with, at least under your knife. Can you tell us what type it is? Fascinating to watch you work, good job on your carving and the videos. Great camera angles.

Thank you Mark. It’s white pine. For the most part it’s pretty good to carve but I get the occasional piece that’s not that great to work with

Was it me! Or could anyone else smell the pine with each knife cut?
