considering that BMW used to be known as a sports car historically, its a huge massive improvement in the comfortability aspect, as for AUDI if its still continues to put all that plastic stuff inside their cars, its gonna be wack forever. Mad props to BMW and Merc!

The four rings always built with perfection for prestige.. I currently own an Audi A6 and my previous car was the q7, just an amazing brand. Beautiful interiors,maybe the rivals might have a big screen but that's ok, now audis screens are awsome.

I had the a8 non limo 2 years ago and did 90k in it,it averaged 39.7 over 90k and apart from the particulate crap thing on the intakes,never missed a beat,It was a bit jiggly though on B roads,it could be driven quite aggressively for such a big car. Ive the S Class now for 6000 miles,its quieter by a long way,Im getting 39.8mpg so pretty much the same.The Merc is comfier,the headlights way better and the power is more linear when giving it some,I cant attack corners like the Audi could but Im getting old now so the better ride of the Merc wins it, the Audi steering was the biggest letdown,you get used to it but no feel at all. I wouldnt have a BMW given to me so cant comment on that.

11:58 Decibels are not linear, so each db is a lot. Just 3db can actually mean *twice* louder sound.

The 7 series looks kind of chaotic inside. The Mercedes dash looks calm and peaceful. Looks for me like they tried too hard in the 7 series to make it feel special, yet is still looks less premium than the S class.

"S" class has all possible S's aviable; Serious, Standarts, Superluxury, Stabel, Speed, Sport, Sustainability, Selfconfident, Sexy.

S Class and 7 series were awesome... Audi lovers can go wash their tears 😂

i was so so confused which one to buy out of those 3 thanks for this review i will buy the S class 10 years later when it depreciates 90% in value

The A8 has a great design - tastefully done and still looks amazing today, both interior and exterior. The folks knew the value of restraint and as a result it has a calm and quiet elegance about it. Next to the A8, the other two just seem 'loud'. Car features have come to a plateau and manufacturers don't know what else to do. So now they are trickling down luxury features to cheap cars to stimulate the market. in saturated markets of NA and EU, luxury model sales are going down as many of their exclusive features made their way into 'lesser' models. Look at Mercedes for example - C and E looks like mini me versions of the S class. EDIT - yes, I know audi and bmw is guilty of this too. Few others are trying to appeal by making 'bold' designs with lots of curves and angles. Look how they buffed and bloated the BMW - looks like a dairy farm vaccination project gone wrong. Next to Mat, it looks like an SUV at 2:37. Compare this to the astonishing beauty of the majestic E38 and you'll know what a 7 series should look like. Even Lexus, who used to be all about simplicity and subdued quality, is messing with 'bold' designs these days. Their new front fascia looks awkward, as if they let some kid play around with the design in photoshop liquify tool!

Genuine question: Why is the Mercedes the most practical? It has the smallest boot, the center seat looks even higher than the A8 and the only difference with the BMW Isofix system is a zipper that's relatively easy to unzip. Are there other criteria that aren't in the video? It really does seem to me that the 7-series is more practical, at least out of these 3 cars...not that it matters that much to the people who buy these cars.

I think the decibel test should be placed somewhere near the ears where it matters, and the vibration test be done on the empty seat and the empty footwell.

I was a Mercedes fan, and never liked Audi, but after owning a few big Mercs, I owned different BMW models, and fell in love with the brand, never looked back...

I'd get both an S-Class and a 7 Series. I really can't decide between them.

In this car class it's all about the suspension comfort, so it its the S-Class which wins then. If you want the same but cheaper, hurry up and buy a Citroen C5 with the biggest diesel because it has an even more comfortable suspension (yes, i've driven the S-Class). PS. Please don't tell me that the C5 is in another league well below theses cars because that's not my point. My point is that there are always much cheaper cars that could do one thing better even than the most expensive car in the world.

Get the 7 series if you enjoy driving and tech, get the S-Class if you prefer prestige, get the Volkswagen A8 if you want your car to have the same passion as a fridge and pollute like a train.

Very fair test. Audi was launched in 2010 and facelifted in 2014, while merc and bmw are both from 2017.

Lol I've driven Mercedes, BMW and Audi cars before. Mercedes is my favorite by far. BMW was the worst. Im not saying BMW is shit or anything... its just that out of these 3 BMW was the worst for me.
