What i like about Diane is her Methodical approach, and she uses eveything. "Work it in!! Be a tiger!!" A little Alexander influence, but she remains herself and brings out her personality in the work.

I finished my first painting after watching Bob and Bill... and finished my second painting after watching Diane. The difference is amazing. She does such a good job of teaching technique that it unlocks the creative power instantly, just by knowing more about value, pressure, loading, mixing, thickness, etc. What a great teacher this woman was, and still is!

Diane is the best! I have had a lot of teachers but Alexander art has given me hope. I am battling a chronic illness and the videos are helping me considerably. Thank you many times.

I found Bob after he died, I found Bill after he died, then I found Diane after she had died. I would like to find a live wet on wet A.A painter I can look up too before I die!!! By the by, I learned from all three wonderful people.

Nic Hanson who is a very good Bob Ross Instructor is young and alive and he made 2 hour long videos on bob rosses channel professionally made by the Bob Ross company if yo want to see them

@@XplosiveAction yes, I like his paintings very much, he is talented and he knows how to teach! but I don´t like that he uses bobs patter and peculiarities. He is so good, he shoud be an original and not a bob copy. but hey it´s not that bad when you think that those videos are a product of the bob ross company. I guess most of the viewers want that. it´s ok, but i like originals more than even very good copys. :)

the greatness of bill is that not only he teach all those painters to do the mountain lake scene, but that himself also show how to do so much more with floral and still life. i wish to see those paintings bill always talking about that he did not on tv restricted 28 minutes (while talking of better tomorrow for 10 of them lol).

Bill´s still lifes are breathtaking. Not just the ones he paintet in 28 mins on TV. When you´re looking in the internet for still lifes he painted at home, it´s just incredible! :) so realistic!

Can you use the same technique for mountains with acrylics?

Yeah you can but you have to use very thick paint, here's how to do it. mix a one and a half cups of water with two tablespoons of cornstarch. Put the mixture in a saucepan and heat it until it produces a thick solution. Once it cools down, add the solution to the acrylic paint to get the right amount of consistency.

What brushes are used? They look soft and flexible. My BR brushes are all quite stuff, unable to get that chiseled edge.

What Happen to Bill's Big Brushe's I don't see them listed on the Alexander Store , only the 1" brush.

Hello. What colours can i use to have the medium black?

Thank you for asking. If you have Ivory Black you can thin it with an oil medium until it is a thin consistency. If you don’t have Black you can make it using Yellow, Red and Blue.
