9 ай бұрынHello howdy, as mentioned at the beginning of the video: I do not own the original song, did not make the original parody, nor did I make this cover!
I was frustrated to see that this version of the parody had disappeared off KZfaq so I decided to put this together so it may be shared again! Luckily I had downloaded it before it was poofed! You may see the credit in the video and in the title don't match: unfortunately when I downloaded the song, it was uploaded by a user called Jxmie with no credit. FORTUNATELY commenters like remjoleea and heehoo gave me the correct attributes! (Thank you!!)

Edit 2: I've got a couple comments now asking if this is AI. *No it absolutely is not.* AI is gross. Also this cover was made OVER 5 YEARS AGO before ai music was even withstandable. I think this version of the song is so funny, because while the original actually sounds like a prepubescent 13-year-old boy, this cover sounds like the same guy but a few years older. So all I can imagine listening to both of them is karkat singing the original on his 6th wriggling day, and then the cover several years later on the meteor 😭

edit: i was mistaken! it was "Case Jackal" who sang this cover, not "Casey Mongillo" thank you for preserving this T_T i genuinely cant listen to either the original song or the original parody anymore, this version is just too good. also the name of the person singing for karkat is Casey Mongillo! they did some fan projects voicing karkat for a while before becoming a professional va in the anime dubbing industry. no idea how this in particulsr happened, but i think it was posted on their instagram, based on the description of another upload.

YEAAA you should read it!! Its long and starts out a bit slow but I promise the beginning is just as important (and hilarious) as the rest! Also it may be long but, once you finish you'll wish it wasn't over

To those who don’t know, this person used to run a blog called “ask karkat voice” which is understandably not available anymore (their collaborator was an ass!!) They’ve been recording their own music for years at this point and I highly recommend checking it out!! Search “hi I’m case” or “caseJackal” for their more experimental furry stuff. All of their albums are super good. They probably?? Don’t want to be bothered about homestuck specifically any more, but they’re worth following for their music!!

Haha its from an old webcomic! I linked it in the description! The character doesn't have an official voice though, but I have heard Case Jackal has done some professional works since he made this! So you may have heard him elsewhere

@@quri1q662 nah this was made a long time ago and waaay before ai was at all close to a semblance of good Idk what you're hearing! Maybe there is autotune and I just can't hear it. The singer of this cover is a full on voice actor now though!
