@@redrick8900 They literally are though, the only difference the MCU Stones have compared to the comic stones is a backlash. A third rules the stones usually Don't have that requires a user of a certain strength level just to Survive using the stones at all. USUALLY the Stones just "Work at full infinite power no matter whose using them." In the MCU though, they have to make it an actual Fight, otherwise the story for Infinity War would have been "And then Thanos just fucking wins" So the MCU stones have an extra rule where 'The user has to be strong enough to withstand the backlash of the Stones power" so that there's a dramatic fight and the heroes have any sort of chance. Since they kind of completely forgot to introduce any of the characters that COULD have found a way around the rules of the Stones and just focused on kickass fights.

@@handleyoassbiatch there was actually a explanation for how he was wielding their power in other universe longstory short he basically had energy from them stored in his armor and lance so that when he was in other universes hed have limited ammount of their power he could use before needing to go back to his universe to have the stones recharge his armor and weapon.

That brings up a question I've had, how do normal TVA workers prune universes so easily? There has to be a branch time line where Thanos already has some stones so how does the TVA combat someone like Thanos?

@@MrMadre It's important to remember that the MCU Stones work differently from the main comic ones. Sure, in Theory they're exactly as powerful as the normal stones.... Except unlike the normal ones they cause power backlash and the wielder needs to literally be durable enough to tank that backlash. Hence why Thanos' arm got shitwrecked after the snap. Power backlash. In total Thanos only ever had the Stones capable of even knowing about or interacting with the TVA (Mindstone and Timestone) the shortest amount of time, and in all that time all he did was "snap everyone" and "blow the bitches up." Shot in the dark, he didn't expressly care to find out anything outside of his objective.

The Stones aren't inert though. It's just that since they're in the TVA. The Stones influence basically has no effect. Doesn't mean they don't work, just not as effective. If you were to take 8 different mind stones outside the TVA to another parallel universe, you'd be unstoppable for about a fraction of a second before you got prunes, for being a jackass.

Tell her the Infinity Stones only work in their own universe & since the TVA headquarters exists outside of it they useless.

Infinity stones do work outside of their universe, this is explicitly shown in 'What if?' series. The stones do not work at TVA because TVA exists in the Quantum Realm. I say this because Kang is the main villain of Antman 3 and the Quantum realm was the basis for all the time travel in Endgame.

The stones are tied to that universe they came from. When a timeline dies, the stones die as well, or as somebody else put it, the power goes back to the "sacred timeline". They really are just paper weights.

@@manu201022 Yeah that’s my guess too, although i genuinely believe this was a continuity error in Marvel Studios part, it can basically be retconned that the stones work on other timelines but they don’t work on other dimensions, which i’d like to think of as universes so far removed from the MCU that even the basic laws of their universe are different like that Shang Chi Dimension and the Dark Dimension, or hidden pocket universes like the TVA or the Quantum Realm.

@Treestump7271 Actually, according to the screenwriter for that episode, he clarified that the Stones work on beings from the same universe. So he was using them as means of power to charge himself up.

Because losing one would be catastrophic. Plus, most normal humans can't hold the stones, so as soon as they left the TVA, their power would instantly return and would most likely kill a lot of people, including the ones holding them. Plus there's the risk of a TVA agent going rogue and using the stones for their own gain.
