Great Danes are the sweetest dogs, I've had several over the years and they have all been loyal, lovable and protective. I still miss my first Dane I got in 1969, she saved me from two German Shepherds that were about to attack me!

When I was in high school I babysat for a family -- Great family One summer they asked if I would stay at their house for a week while they were on vacation to babysit their baby --- Sure, not a problem. When I went to their place I realized they'd gotten a Great Dane --- The baby and the Dane got along - The Dane had perfect dog manners, well trained, sweet disposition however .... First night there I slept in their bedroom because their baby's crib was in there Barely fell asleep when I felt the dog s-l-o-w-l-y stepping onto the foot of the bed, then even more slowly inching her way up the bed until she was laying her head on the pillow next to me I'd had small dogs all my life and having a 100+ pound dog in the bed is way different than a little 3 pound Chihuahua! Anyway --- The dog wasn't a problem --- The baby would crawl all over the floor and the dog would sort of watch over the baby. Such a big, sweet dog --- Great Danes are really remarkable souls

My daughter has had Danes for awhile now. The biggest was Magnus at 225 lbs. quite the lap dog. Her latest is a big baby named Max. Wish they lived longer. Such good friends.

I used to have a small elderly woman living close to my place with a massive great dane. she trained him to carry her groceries. Always looked so hilarious seeing that dog nearly as big as her trotting along with a shopping bag in his mouth 😁

I like when the lady says I would like to take you for a walk. I could see him taking off draging her behind him. My boxer does that. I am the only one that can walk her she drags every one else behind her.

It is funny how people react to them, we have a Gray named Mouse who is 185 pounds and people always flock to him . A big sweet boy who loves people and loves the attention.. He thinks he is a lap dog though and that can get interesting.. Nothing like having a dog who can take things from on top of the Fridge ..
