I just came across your channel and watched couple of your budgeting videos. I am avlittle confuse pls enlighten me. Are these money your are saving are after any retirement plan like 401k, ROTH IRA, mortgage/rent? And what is the money for Bank for?

Hey bestie! 🩷🩷🩷 I think you should add a good chunk of $ to your savings and/or emergency fund. Maybe some towards your one month ahead… I just feel like putting most towards debt since you owe so much and you’re low income that you should build up a really good nest egg 1st before tackling debt hard like that… hope that makes sense. Obviously it’s your $ so you do what you think is best/works for y’all… but that’s my opinion and honestly where I’m at in my budget journey and what I’d do, but hey we are all different and have different necessities and at different stages in life.

@@magnoliabudgets np 😉 I’m the type of person who wants to be prepared or even a little extra prepared just in case. And things are SO expensive nowadays and you never know what’s gonna happen… while $1,000 is a nice start for an emergency fund and we gotta start somewhere, I feel like we don’t need to stop there! Because that $ could be gone in a split second with prices the way they are nowadays. For me the number I’d feel more comfortable having saved would be around $3K, one day I’ll reach that and even then I’m gonna continue saving to give me more peace of mind. 😃
