Im adopting the mindset "save first, spend second " If i adopt this , i feel like I may be able to save a lot more than i can imagine. If I think about saving it first spending may never come to mind. 2024 is definitely an ambitious one :)

We became debt free in 2023 (that was our motto!) so for 2024 we're moving onto saving 3-6 months of emergency funds too! I'm working on making my setup more green with eucalyptus 🌿🌿colors and textures (already ordered the beautiful green cash tray from FundsAndFun!). 🥳 🥳 So hopefully you'll have a pastel green color coming soon! 2024 will be my 1st year doing both sinking funds & saving challenges at the same time. I did my 1st cash stuffing for 2024 already and hopefully i can keep it up all next year

I debated between the terms ‘Low Priority + High Priority’ vs ‘Short-term + Long-term’. I decided to use Short/Long term because short term is categories I would dip into more frequently or plan on getting/doing soon (Tech, New Puppy (short term savings), Self Care, Health (menstrual stuff, non prescription meds etc), Lawn Care, Home Goods (essentials like tp, cleaning products), Home (New appliance, tv, decor etc). Long-Term has personal savings, medical, dental, vision, Month Ahead, Annual expenses, Braces, new car etc

Even though I'm okay with finances & savings, I can become hyperfocused to the point where it causes me stress. I want to work on getting out of my scarcity mindset & easing my financial anxiety. 😊 So this year, I added a Self envelope (care, investment, development, etc) so I can spend a little more freely on experiences. I now have a mini challenges binder that I get to stuff and not count for the entire year. This way i can save passively & zero out my budget without worrying about where each stray dollar is going.

Can't wait to pick up new envelopes! I think I am going to add a self care envelope. I need to take better care of my body for sure.

Working hard to pay off my house and give more intentionally. I will have a no spend month in January!

Ok So your system is very pretty and Ive watched several videos. In fact I binged some last night. There was stuffing, unstuffing dollar challenges but for the life of me HOW DOES IT WORK?? LOL I'd love to see a tutorial of how the whole system works. I see you pulling from one binder to put in another binder then add more and for the life of me I cannot figure out why?? :)

I was able to save 15 000 in my currency in three months last year, using mostly cash. Bills, rent, etc was done automatically online in my bank, but I paid for most other things, food etc, in cash. Sadly, a bunch of things happened and those money flew out in less than 2 weeks.... new (used) phone, laptop needed repairs, and tragically my beloved cat crossed the rainbow bridge too. So it's been a tough and lonely December and Christmas. Now I'm looking forward to when my next pension comes on Jan 19 and I can get back to saving and spending. AND my A7 Chic Wallet!! ...whenever that'll arrive XD
