When coins are in the reject slot it might be worth it to check them for silver. It's best to check prior to cashing coins, but there is a chance silver would end up in the reject slot because of the difference in weight that the machine sorts out.

good that you were able to do that at your bank. coinstar machines seem to all be right at 12% altho it appears to go up or down a point . at $193, that's a steep charge to move your change.

The ones in my area are 11.9%, but near my sister it's 9 something.

That is why I'm pretty much cashless in my purchases. Even when I took in cash at a McDonald's like fast food place generating like 87 cents in change. I was able to next time use this coinage stored in my unused car ashtrays and bring it in for the next cash purchase to eliminate coin change. I haven't gone past 15 pennies, up to about 8 nickels and dimes or 10 quarters loose change by using them at purchases. I don't live in a toll road state where coins can collect up more in a car.

I used to take mines to the bank until they started charging fees. Now, I roll mines up and take them. I always count correctly to save them the hassle every year at the beginning of the year. It does pay to save the coins, too!!!!

I save all kinds of change doller coins and 50 cent pieces are my favorite and two doller bills but I have a nice stash of quarters dimes nickels and Pennie’s to It all adds up quickly. In the beginning that was the back bone to the mob was there vending machines that snatched every ones change 😂😂😂

Here is real ideas when yall collect these size containers or bigger what am doing after retirement months ago like before hv lot of change around there is lot of boys girls kids poor or homeless in many schools wish they had piggy bank funds to help there situation of hungry clothes thgs they need that there parents can't give in this america why not help find out these kids give them pay forward be bless
