I don't understand why people don't see that you will never get an actual "song" out of Cashmere Cat. Strictly sounds. that's the style, so people who are disappointed cause it isn't a real song clearly don't understand that there's a difference between Cashmere Cat, who makes instrumentals and uses people's voices as another instrument in the song, and DJ Khaled who just shoots track after track with a beat attached to it. if you're gonna listen to Cashmere Cat, don't expect lyrics or an actual song. just beautiful sounds that your mind can't comprehend

No..that not what i said at all. What I'm saying is that people focus so much on the featured celebrity that they forget that they are just that. a feature. and also that people that just started listening to Cashmere Cat don't realize that He's like Sam Gellaitry or Graves, which specialize in unique and artistic instrumentals, instead of the basic " Verse-Hook-Chorus-Hook-Outro" mold that most artists use today :)

Not to knock the compliment but sound design-wise, it's nothing new or revolutionary. What you're hearing is a good use of effects from a composition standpoint, not that the sounds themselves are particularly unique.

I will be seeing the Weeknd live for the first time on March 28,2022, and I will be reviewing one song of his until then. An experimental trek through sound with amazing undertones and vocals. The Weeknd is 'featured' in this particular song, but clearly outshines the track. This emphasizes the running joke between XO fans, that once the Weeknd is featured in your song, it becomes his song now. Overall, the atmosphere is amazing and it crescendos at the end with a beautiful montage of sonic excellence. One of my favorites. 7/10.
