Ive had mine for 13 years, still works perfectly, the strap got torn but I'm getting that fixed, ti has survived everything with me, from desert, diving mountain climbing, fell on it many times even on the toughest of rocks, never took it off not even sleeping, showering. It is indestructible.

I thought about showering and swimming with it, but the manual says specifically to not shower with it. It's been fine for you, though? No issues at all?

Having same kind of model dw.9000... 1995 model.. uncle used it over 10 years and gave it to me.. now it's 9 year in my hand.. 7 years back i changed battery but it's still running.. so totally we wearing it from past 19 years.. still it looks like 2 years old watch.. i think i can wear it till upcoming 10 year or may be 20 year or more ☺️☺️

I have the same one you have the golden one and to me it was simple to set up time date the light other than that I love it I paid 150 for mine about 8 months ago and so far very durable watch I love G-Shock this one's one of my favorites because it's cheaper than other ones

I got this for Christmas becuase I asked my mom for a watch and pointed to this one and said "Hey my friend has one of those!" My mom said it'll be too small. I got one today and it fits somewhat well since I have very small wrists.

I like this watch a lot. For people with bigger wrists, it will look a little small, but it's not a big deal. Still very rugged and can take a beating.

I noticed that at stopwatch mode the current time also shows up (at 5:30) which is awesome! My GW5610 does that too but my GD400 does NOT

I have that exact same watch. I’ve had it for about 8 years. I still haven’t changed the battery. I toss it around, hit it and scrape it on things, and it gets dust and debris covered on a regular basis all due to work. It just keeps working and never stops. If it ever stops working, I’m definitely going to be buying the same watch!!!

@@pancakes_go2940 The battery finally died and the wristband needed to be replaced. The face of it was all scratched up and hard to read. I’m surprised it actually held up this long. I finally replaced it just under a year ago. I’ll always be a repeat G-Shock customer.

I have had this model watch for more than 8 years it’s a great watch. The weird rubbery plastic lug things actually all tore off of my watch after so long and under the plastic lugs are nice chrome screws that stick out of the frame. You could probably buy a new watch and pry off the grey plastic lugs to reveal the cool chrome screws.

I'm 45 so I like a simple watch and this is a simple watch it's a G-Shock but it's like a basic Casio at the same time the best of both worlds for me I had an older one I think was a data version from my 2001

I turned off the hourly alarm and the symbol for it is gone but it still alarms hourly is there any way to fix this? Am I doing something wrong?

Good video, even though you need lighting on the face of the watch. I do see lighting on your thumb & fingers, but not on the watch face. Try using a light with a diffuser. Soft lighting would work well

I have this watch (red lettering), the only negative thing I can find is the fact that it only has one alarm and it's not loud enough to hear. I keep a Timex Ironman T5E901 in my EDC bag that has 3 loud alarms. I have tried several different watches just to find out which watch has the loudest alarm. If anyone knows of a louder watch alarm, please let me know. Thanks for the review.

I own the same watch but mine is black Gray with red trim had mine since 2013 paid $45 for mine want to change the bezel cover any suggestions in the comment section I've seen green all black gray writing which need to change the light button with g on it to a black with white g instead of red ???

Never got the "shock" concept. Never had any digital watch break from any sort of impact. Yes this one keeps on ticking, but they all do! Test them. Take a regular casio or timex and throw it at the wall. It'll stlll work.

I think if you use tools with heavy vibration the other watches may fail before the g shock.

The Casio DW9052 series can't be used for scuba diving. It is water resistant and suitable for snorkeling, swimming, or boating. Real scuba divers don't wear watches; they use dive computers that provide various timing and gauge functions. But it's classic though basic G-Shock and will serve you well for years. My only concern is battery replacement that requires removing the back plate and O-ring. The water resistance may be ruined if the back plate is not replaced correctly.

Own this watch. It's very easy to replace the battery yourself with a screwdriver that is easy to find at many places. As long as you are careful, no issues with the o-ring. Just pay attention to what you are doing. Great great watch that was gifted to me from a USA Navy service woman. I'm honored to wear it when I do.

@@larvancioramos9748 Casio WR or 50M means that you cannot press button under water, but 100M and more 200M means that you CAN! I pushed in mine few G-Shocs under water many many times!

@@larvancioramos9748 I am not scuba diver, just swimming pool ;) And of course some snorkeling at sea but not much nowdays... But remeber those limits from my first Casio I got... And actually I heard and my uncle tested on his Casio watch that if they are factory sealed (you haven't open them/changed battery) they are ALL WR at least! And he swimmed many times in Italy in medditerrain sea and with his WR watch (so in theory splash proof only NOT to be put under water!) and nothing happened wrong! And it was salt water! So G Shock are really tough ;)

Hey man, looking to get the best camera I can under $300, was looking at a used sony a5000 do you recommend that? also I saw on eBay selling for $200 with no lense, which do you think would be best lense under $100? The A5000 is not in the same class as the a6000. I would recommend a Canon T3i over the A5000 in fact.

I just solved it! Simply enter time setting mode by pressing the "adjust" button(top left). Then press the "G" button(below the time window) which is normally used as a light button. If your watch is on military time and you prefer the 12 hour format, this will also work for returning to the AM/PM format.

Thats a Flash symbol. It blinks the light and raise the alarm when timer reaches the limits.
