Today we ride up to Shadyside Dragway for the Footbrake Showdown that was covered by ‪@spooldmedia‬ and I have to give Corey a huge thanks for the Coverage!
I wanted to make some Last passes with the Ford C4 Transmission before we install the ‪@coperacingtrans‬ CASPER-MATIC E4OD/4R100 reverse manual Transbrake. Well you will have to watch to see how the C4 ended..
‪@Boostismyfriend‬ brought his 416" LS powered S10 to establish a baseline for the AFR cylinder head test that we are doing.

Took me a while to get it thru my thick head that you leave on the last yellow.. (non pro tree I'm assuming) All of a sudden I got it and understood. Definitely hit a test and tune night and start cuttin trees! Aint tryin to brag ,and I havent ran in a while but I was getting it down around .1 -.150 or so. Dont drag race a woman either,they will tree you,women have a faster response time than men 😂😂

Plenty of c4’s in the 5s and probably 4s in light cars. Plus people always sleep on the c6. Went slower when swapping to a th400 and went back to a c6 and it’s been the went faster then ever. Hope the e4od works well and hold up. If I did one I’d have to put the c6 2.46/1.46 1-2 gears. Bbf nitrous makes way too much torque for that let alone a 2.72 1st lol

Yeah I'm going to probably take some gear out when I do the trans swap. The C4 just doesn't like that 4200lbs and it has a Spragless converter in it which gets it hot! That isn't helping matters at all.. The new VB has a second gear leave for when I hit it with the Nitrous! So I'm pretty excited to see how it all works out.. Andy

⁠@@UnityMotorSportsGarageman I wish I had the 2nd leave option in my rmvb trans brake c6. That’s a game changer especially for street stuff. I forgot Cope said he figured that out in like 15 mins with the e4od. Can’t wait to see the results both na and on spray.

I'm running a 355 rear gear and a c6 one thing is a small block c6 is hard to find but I found one c4 wouldn't hold up behind my 400w to much torque I have a 71 Torino 400w c6 355 gear streetable it ran 887 1/8 mile not bad for a street car

"I think the transmission is done..... oh well"..... I am surprised it lasted as long as it did. It did sound like it was blowing thru the converter and making a lot of heat instead of moving.... It will be interesting to see if your ratio choices with the new trans hook up coming of the brake.... There may be some suspension changes in the near future....

Watched many times didnt here any slip in converter solid pass no rpm rev-up a little short shift to high gear but looked to be great pass. Love that truck.

70 @ 3900 rpm. My 80 c30 has 4.56 and will be getting an overdrive this spring because of that. I understand the I can’t drive 55 song.

Have you ever thought of lowering Casper for a better C/G center of gravity, maybe a bigger tire too the new Transmission should help alot.

Got c6 trans out of 1 ton got lower 1 gear ripe for drag build was rebuild back in 90s truck blown motor and set tell sold off save trans

Had a 2wd 79 f150 Pace truck with a built 4V 351 Cleveland in it. C4 was troublesome. Installed C6. End of all issues... Ran Harder by far. I understand you wanted the less rotating mass and weight but for all the troubles it just isn't worth it..

Getting the right trans,and converter is the trick. Their is alot of power absorbed with a 400. Their are tricks to all. Hope you get r did.

I do like the rapid shifts of a kitted C4. Poor thing was being asked some big questions. Casper dosent look light!

Motor sounds real Strong but Needs a Looser converter & front Suspension for the Launch !! ....You deff having repeated Converter or trans issues....1 & done Bummer man !! ....Hope you get Everything working good for Lots of hassles Free runs.....

Your buddy wants you to put a 3.08 rear gear in the truck? 🤣🤣🤣. Thats hilarious. I bet it would be hard pressed to break a 2.0 sixty foot with that gear! That gear would turn the truck into a total turd. The engine would be so far below its power band unless the converter was overly loose.

Nothing but a c6 or an FMX on the 1120 for this Cowboy. Why take a knife to a gun fight? Because c4's are a little girls transmission, they belong in Mavericks, Fairmonts & other granny-rides
