2 жыл бұрынCast Test Fishband Clamber Hyper Micro with Roro Micro Bearings - Super Budget Ultralight BFS Setup. I paired the Reel up with my Favorite UL Rod, the Tsurinoya Ares C472UL and sling various lures to see how well the upgrade can handle lighter lures.

I've been on an obsession in flushing out the spool bearings in all of my non BFS reels. The spool feels more free so I don't need to cast as hard to get distance. But the spool can backlash easier.

definitely clean all stock bearings and replace with performance oil. Manufacturers put thicker oil on so it stays in long and ensure your reel's longevity. If you replace the oil, make sure you oil back more frequently since likely it will be gone quicker. especially if you get it wet. I always check the spool bearing closest to the gears as you never know if grease from the body have gone into the spool bearing during Shipping or storage. some times when it is too hot, it may leak into the bearing, making it not spin as well

I just did the exact same yesterday with my 2021 Shimano Bantam. Reel cost me $350 and I was not happy with the stock spool bearings. Almost spent another $47 ($40 + $7 shipping) to upgrade the bearings to SpeedSpool XCR's (amazing bearings BTW) but decided to try flushing them first. A world of difference as they now spin 3-4 times longer. Still, they don't compare to the XCRs . It's a shame after spending so much money Shimano gives you crappy bearings on the most important part of the reel! Flushing and applying a super light bearing oil is DEF the way to go. So here I am in the same situation as you, i'm now obsessed with flushing or upgrading all my reels bearings!

Using roro micro ceramic bearings definitely help with ease of casting for my clamber. Just keep in mind to cast with less force, the super strong breaks help out in this regard as well.

It's definitely gotten more enjoyable! Hope to see more CDM Brands pick up the clues on which reels to copy each other lol. Imagine a copycat of this reel at half the cost for not having an aluminum body frame!

Very surprising how well this reel performed without the cone shaped line guide. What was your previous favorite reel for ultra finesse lures? Modded alphas air? Have a merry Christmas

You see how narrow in how the line is stacked up on the spool? i think that helps keep the angle not as small, which means the friction wouldn't be as bad. In regards to cone/vortex shape guides, although it is always better to have it, some bfs reels are made in a small form factor that actually works pretty well without that cone guide! now for the other CDM reels that just took their other larger casting reels and just shove a shallow spool on it and call it bfs... now that is a different story! lol they will need that to reduce that friction!

Sup Jimmy. Nice presentation. Replacing bearings is out of my league for now lol. But how can you tell what replacement bearings to use? Universal size? I need to lube my reel been using in 20 degree weather lol. Have rem oil for now. You told me what you use before and found it, but lost site. Hope had a Merry xmas

If that is the case... go with the curado bfs! It's got great performance out of the box and if u need to go lighter... the Avail spool makes it an epic reel! The reason why I say this is because the spool upgrade does not need bearings. Although you can... u won't need special pin puller as there are no bearings on the spool. But different reels uses different sizes. BFE got a chart that can share popular reels and their sizes ^_^ happy holidays

@@ronaldyeater3322 the curado bfs reel is already bfs, just a better spool for the UL stuff. For bearings I currently use quantum hot sauce
