Guys in India 86 crores people have income of less than 6000 per month. It is the poverty due to which they chose to do that work not because someone force them to do that. So if you want to help them than fight poverty instead of judges. Poverty will not be eliminated by government job but by new ideas and innovations which will drive industries and make profit. Do you know that 28 people like Bill Gates can buy our whole 130000000 populated country if given chance. So chose your enemy first, and we all brothers will fight it back.

The best answer I had come across to that question "would you trust a doctor who has come thru reservation" was some 30 years ago during the V P Singh days...It was "Oh! most Upper caste people are deliberately ignorant about the question of privilege. They think they succeed because of their hard work while ignoring the role of their upbringing. Most lower castes cant even read english and then they are expected to compete in general quota with convent school passouts.(upper caste hindi people are busy in building hindu rastra for time being). economic based reservation not going to solve the discrimination problem and also i trust the Indian state which is full of upper caste "meritorious" people to be incompetent enough to create a reservation system as flawed as adhaar or gst systems where fake certificates prevail and deserved people will be the biggest losers.

Reservation is for representation not for upliftment. Government jobs do not add much value in economic development. Uplifting is done by entrepreneurs by making businesses work, these will be done by industries and private sector. One small addition to the 1st answer ( numbered 11): The minimum pass marks for medical college is kept at a level which ensures that the examinee possess enough knowledge to qualify as a doctor. It would be revealing to look at the social background of the doctors who fleece the patients and who leave operating equipments in the stomach of the patients. Are they from the reserved category? Most likely not.

2:11 1) Merit should be ultimate criteria. Would you trust a doctor who has come though the reservation route with ur life.? Pre-independence everything was in accordance with "ultimate MERIT".. All doctors came via merit right? Were they able to cure Polio, Plagues, Cholera, Typhoid, so many diseases.. How many noble prizes? How many patents/science breakthroughs you achieved? Would you trust a AYRVEDIC DOCTOR who has not come via reservation route with your life? Merit stands only when "starting line is same". The comforts, the head-starts, partialities-preferences at which you achieve your "merit" is rigged at the foundation itself..

doctors and scientists aren't same , and snatching seats from a lower middile class and giving it to son of ST SC IAS is not going to help normal poor in community. All this creates divide and identity politics, with help of caste politics rich and influential will ensure no income or creamy layer law is added to give benifits to poor ST SC students (see how OBC income for creamy layer is increasing to 15L) , obviously a person earning 14L will take the seats , who will suffer poor General Cat and poor ST Sc

How come, the opponents & proponents for RESERVATION conveniently forget, that the reservation is only till entering the educational institutions, and once entered, he is trained the same way like the unreserved candidates and given the same tests at the Board & Universities and Scored equally with all the candidates. How the quality of the qualified graduate will perform lesser than the unreserved aspirationists? So Reservation is a small edge of boost to those who were deliberately oppressed in every walks of life for more than 2000 years.

For question 2, Reservation is about representation and not financial upliftment. A rich dalit will still face discrimination in society because of his caste. If not, why don't upper castes readily and happily marry rich Dalits ? Why is there this caste-based arranged marriage market in India? Also, it is a universal truth usually it is the affluent ones from ANY community who can avail facilities that are provided by the society as opposed to a person from a lower "class" from the same "caste". So, why is this outcry only when it happens in the case of dalits. For the topic on merit : When British introduced Civil Service exam in India and opened it for Indians as well, not even one Indian ( = upper caste) could pass the exam and at that time, considering the inherent advantage a Britisher might have as opposed to an Indian, the cut off pass marks was revised and that's how for the first time, Indians were able to get into civil services. Please let me reiterate, these were upper caste , so-called "meritorious" people who couldn't pass the exam back then. Same with Nairs of Kerala, who create an outcry of caste-based reservation now. They have shamelessly forgotten about the Malayali Memorial petition submitted back 1891 so that educated Nairs could get equal opportunity and blamed Brahmins of hogging the public service positions.

Sir at 20 minutes approx discussion wherein a point has been said that SC ST do not enter into the space of UR, but if you look it more clearly you will find that seats reserved for UR will go to SC if he scores equal to merit and the other SC below that merit who do not find position in merit will now go to there quota seats. In short in UR everybody is allowed to participate along with the benefit of their own share. So that concept of seat reservation of yours is not clarity. Please look into it again

What system you are talking about does not exist now or maybe you have heard it incorrectly. Atleast in Central jobs and in Maharashtra students who belong to reserved categories cannot jump into general category even if they have equal merit Or higher merit than general category person Also it is taken for granted that a general category person always have merit higher than reserved category Then comes proportion to population. General category(50%) + 10% economically weaker section comes to 60% which is too much for the population... It is as good as reservations for general category now rather than SC, ST and OBC
@kidsandparenting3670

@@PurbhiK Dear friend go, try and understand the roster and reservation system based on certain seat allocation in any exam. Suppose an SC candidate score highest numbers in a competition exam then how will you fill his seat. If you properly use and apply your brain and go with the system of filling you will find that the SC candidate who topped will be first allocated UR seat. That is what merit means, which benefits those SC now who were not in the merit of UR but were in the merit of SC. It is as simple as that. Even if you feel further clarification is required go through Government Roster Rule and how the allocations are made. Use common sense of percentage allocation your doubt will automatically clear. The point still remains who is the privileged one??

Woman's Rights In Veda's “O scholarly woman, the way a river breaks away mightiest of hills and rocks, the scholarly woman destroys myths and hypes through her intellect alone. May we bow to women through our polite words and noble actions.” - Rigveda 6.61.2 “A scholarly woman, the entire life of society depends upon you. You provide us the right knowledge. May you bring knowledge to all segments of society.” - Rigveda 2.41.17 The Atharva Veda, particularly advocates for female empowerment, claiming that women are an integral aspect of society. In regards to knowledge and wisdom, it states: “O woman! Utilize your Vedic intellect in all directions of our home!” - Atharva Veda 14.1.64 The Vedas also place a heavy emphasis on the education of female children. Believing each individual to be equal to the next, Vedic literature not only encourages women and girls to be scholarly, but expresses that it is the duty of each parent to ensure that their daughter is brought up and educated with great effort and care. After all, as the Devi Mahatmya (a religious text expounding upon the glories of the Goddess) states, “All forms of knowledge are aspects of Thee, and all women throughout the world are Thy forms.” If they so desire, the Vedas also permit women to undergo Upanayana, a ceremony that initiates Vedic studies. As a matter of fact, the Vedas mention several female scholars and sages, such as Vac, also known as Ambhrini, Ambani, Romasa and Gargi who had their own Upanayana ceremonies and went on to become experts in Vedic studies. Called brahmavādinis, these figures demonstrate that during the Vedic period, women were not only allowed to pursue higher studies like their male counterparts, but they also received equal attention from their gurus and teachers. In regards to this, the Rig Veda states: “Parents should gift their daughter intellectuality and power of knowledge when she leaves for the husband’s home. They should give her a dowry of knowledge.” - Rig 10.85.7 Women & Wifehood Moreover, the Vedas regard marriage as a union of two equals. No one individual is given more importance over the other. As with Rādha-Krishnā and Sitā-Rāma, which symbolize the teamwork aspect of marriage, the Vedas believe that both husband and wife constitute the griha, or home. In fact, after marriage, the wife is considered to be ardhāngini, meaning other half, or sahadhārmini, meaning her husband’s partner or friend in dharma. The wife also becomes the samrajni, or queen of the household and has an equal share in the performance of religious rites. This understanding can be seen in the following passages: “O wife! Become the queen and manager of everyone in the family of your husband.” - Atharva 14.1.20 “O bride! You shall bring bliss to all and direct our homes towards our purpose of living.” - Atharva 14.1.61 “O wife! I am knowledgeable and you are also knowledgeable. If I am Samved then you are Rigved.” - Atharva 14.2.71 The Vedas further, in regards to equal participation in religious rites, say: “O women! These mantras are given to you equally as to men. May your thoughts, too, be harmonious. May your assemblies be open to all without discrimination. Your mind and consciousness should be harmonious. I give you these mantras equally as to men and give you all and equal powers to absorb the full powers of these mantras.” (Rigveda 10-191-3). The fact that women and men are seen as equals in the eyes of dharma reflects the egalitarian attitude of the Vedas, and how the tradition emphasizes that a spirit of cooperation and appreciation between men and women is what leads to societal progression.

Very interesting to say Reservation should continue till equal representation is achieved as it means its eternal . The world had never achieved it and will never achieve it . Expecting equality in representation in every field is impossible . It's a clever and convenient use of Social , Economonic and political equality rose to achieve political dominance ! Whole argument that your caste quota is Fixed and even after converting Dalit remains Dalit are fallacious argument . One converts to get rid of Tyranny of Hindu caste system and still wants benefits ! What a lame excuse for Rich SC ST to continue to get benefits of reservation ! Brahmins mugging up Vedas stopped at least 150 years back and started study Science Western concepts .
@PurbhiK

Who has asked you to give benefits to the dalits? Dalits are citizens and it is the state offering them affirmative action under directive principles of state policy. They themselves did not ask for it. It is leaders of Parliament and State legislatures that recognize the reality of social injustices and take affirmative action. So it is not an obligation being done for the dalits. It is for their upliftment. Converting from hindu society does not stop them from becoming citizens and become beneficiaries of state policy. Can understand from your point as you might have not experienced casteism. Casteist people don't search for rich or poor dalits before discriminating. In fact rich dalits are more prone to casteism in elite jobs and services where they find themselves in the most miniscule percent.
