We often get questions from companies that are trying to move really heavy loads - think 30K to 100K total load - that are concerned about the terrain they have to traverse and what options they have with industrial heavy duty casters. Some applications are lucky in that they only move over smooth concrete or asphalt with limited to no obstructions. Yet there are many applications that are moving over uneven floors, expansion joints, railroad tracks, potholes, curbs, etc.

Wheel Options for Uneven Terrain (0:30 - 1:00)
Increase wheel diameter for better obstacle clearance and shock absorption (e.g., "Larger wheels will...roll over obstacles easier").
Choose softer tire materials like rubber or urethane for better shock absorption (e.g., "Softer tires...absorb more shock").
Oscillating Axles for Uneven Surfaces (1:00 - 1:20)
Allow wheels to move up and down independently to handle dips and bumps (e.g., "They allow each wheel to move up and down independently").
Suitable for hard-packed gravel or asphalt with slight unevenness (e.g., "Good for...uneven surfaces like...gravel").
Shock Absorbing Casters for Heavy Loads (1:20 - 1:40)
Spring-loaded casters can handle loads from hundreds to thousands of pounds (e.g., "They can handle...heavy loads").
Useful for applications with heavy payloads and significant shock absorption needs (e.g., "For heavy equipment...that needs to absorb shock").
Combining Options for Optimal Performance (1:40 - 2:00)
You may need to combine all three options for heavy loads and rough terrain (e.g., "You might need a combination of all three").
Consider using large diameter wheels, soft tires, oscillating axles, and shock absorbing casters (e.g., "Big wheels, soft tires, oscillating axles, and shock absorbing casters").
