Not really. They know most of the people on the carpet are either their coworkers or their friends. So the likelihood that a complete stranger would do that to Taika is pretty low. The fact Pedro went for a gag like that likely communicated to Taika "Oh, this is a fellow actor doing something funny, time to act/ improv!"
