CAT Backup Camera - Can it be fixed?

Күн бұрынIn this video we disassemble a CAT backup camera to see if it can be fixed. This camera had an intermittent problem where it would work when it was cold outside, but would stop working when things warmed up. This was on a CAT 259D3 Skidsteer, but I’m sue it’s similar for most CAT equipment.

Damn it, that sucks! 😂 Great timing though! Mine stopped working a few days ago too. I usually repair most things myself, so this is a real shame. Thank you for showing us what's inside of it 👍

I think it would be worth a shot to epoxy and silicone it up (after you clean up the wires) and see if it works.

Anythings worth a try at this point. My Cat dealer said that they have over 1000+ on backorder right now. I'll try using some electronic cleaning spray and adding dielectric grease for the connections too. 😩

@dellefairclough5309 I replaced the camera and that fixed the problem. Expensive, but worth it.

None. The only things guaranteed are death and taxes.

704 hrs. Stopped working after i pressure washed it. Warranty?

Mine went out at 200 hours.

Mine just went out with 668 hrs called cat $750 for a new one.. what a joke
