Like a lot of guys, I like the old Cats the best. To DieselPowerTV, I finally got around to watching all your videos. I enjoy all of them and look forward to more.

CAT dozers always cost a little more than AC or International machines back in the day 1950's. But hey! you get what you pay for. CAT is still around today. Great USA made machines.

Looks like a 14A from here. Spent many hours on one in the early 80's. Very nice machine, but had way too little ground clearance for soft/muddy ground.

I used to have a pair of 46A D8H’s. Great machines. Is this a 35A model D-8 or a 46A with straight shift manual transmission?

Very nice thanks

Great to see you guys using the very "mature" equipment. Worked for a guy who also used the same "vintage" equipment y'all are using. Just take your time and it'll get done.

Gotta say, you guys ALWAYS make one helluva good video, when it comes to detail, clarity, and especially, SOUND! New stuff might be more efficient, faster, and of course, quieter. But it's "entertainment" value is nil, for me. (BTW, I like the "dust control feature" just behind the blade. If I didn't know better? I'd pass it off as a leak...!)
@dagwood648 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you, I can watch this stuff all day. I don't know if that is a leak, I think it's building pressure in the radiator, may be a bad head gasket or a cracked block.

Love your videos, especially the sound, strongly encourage you to look into handheld stabilizing gimbal for your camera. Virtually all of your movement would be smoothed out and the jiggle in your videos would be gone

Very cool. I could use one of those.

It sounds like it's pulling a little air into the fuel system.Otherwise, I love watching ol' kitties work. What S/N prefix is this -13A/14A?

So am I seeing this correct?: Steering clutches in the middle, throttle on the left, (manual) shifter on the right, clutch and track brakes on the floor?
@dieselman8v9239 жыл бұрын
mojostevo Throttle is on the dash and is just set to full throttle and leave it. Clutch is the lever on the far left, then on the right is main gear shift and forward and reverse lever. In the middle is steering clutch levers and brakes on the floor.
