was it the plate seal o ring? my flange plug bolt broke off while tightening and the threaded part fell into the drive fml

Nice, thanks for the video :D I just ordered a drive motor + seal kit!! This will be helpful. Thats a peppy little machine. I paid 14k for it + 4 buckets.

@@attk1984 No, from China on alibaba. I can send you a link if you want. I don't really like sending more money to China but there isn't really an alternative.. I got it in 5 days..

@@attk1984 imgur.com/gallery/Eg1fCS3 It seems i didn't take a pic ones finished. The new motor was a bit wider to the inside, so i put a couple washers under on the inside of the cover plate, so that it fit. I didn't want to bend the corroded hyd pipes, so instead replaced with hoses and put in new clamps for them. Otherwise install was really simple, bolt holes and everything else fit perfectly. @@7rixee Awesome, thanks! I tried to order one a few months back and they were not air shipping due to rona virus. How was the shipping price? Does your machine have a blade? Mine does and I'm not sure if GM10 is geared different for a blade. I hear you about china, unfortunately the travel drives don’t exist in north america due to the age.

@@attk1984 Shipped by airmail, same as the motor or a bit more but I'm in Europe. Took about four days.. Just send them a message, you'll hear back in about 10 minutes. Gotta say they have good support, I had the alibaba app and they responded in five minutes to my inquiry while i was installing the thing. I do sound a bit suspicious with my praise eh. Let me know how it goes.

Man, I needed this video last October! Anyone know where to find part numbers for replacement finial drives? Alibaba has a bunch but want to be able to confirm fitment before ordering.

how do you tell if the final drive needs repair. what ´s signs to listen / look for sir. thx for great video.

Luckily I haven't had a final drive fail on me personally or at work, but listen for metal to metal grinding, popping/knocking, or high pitched squels. If you see a leak take care of it asap, if fluid can get out, dirt & moisture can get in. Do routine fluid changes, if there's any moisture in there, or it gets hot enough there's condensation inside it can pit your bearings when the machine sits for long periods of time. They do wear out overtime like anything else but a rebuild isn't too too bad if you take your time with it
