In this video we installed a cat back into my toyota 4age 20v that had its cat deleted by the previous owner. With this we tested, if putting a cat back in it, will make the car actually sound better, but see for yourself!

Sounds is the 2nd pro, first is the flow of exhaust, improves performance

in theory yes, but in this application a sprts or metallic catalyst with 120mm diameter flows a lot more than is needed in this case. Even 300 HP wouldnt be a problem and not really a restriction (maybe 1-3 HP at most at that power level) but yes, you are correct if you would put in a ceramic stock cat, then that would probably be a restriction that is suboptimal.
