First of all you need to get you facts right, Catalonia is a part of Spain since its formation in the XVth century what happened in 1714 was a succession war that's been used by the Catalan government to back its independence. Apart from that Catalonia lost in the civil war but so did a lot of other parts in Spain, among those Madrid itself. You judge Catalonia like Scotland, but Scotland entered the UK, Catalonia was a part of Spain since its formation. It's not a state and it's never been an independent land. Besides that you dare speak about something you have absolutely no idea, Madrid pays more to the government than Catalonia with less population, you judge as if Catalonia was a US state that rules itself, this is Europe, Catalonia's been ruled by the central government and every single thing they have has been financed by the central government, it's so easy to speak when you know nothing...

Even then, I don't see where the problem lies? Spain is not torturing catalonia. isn't it?

I also wish my Tatarstan to become independent from Russian, we have referendum of 1992 when majority of republic (61,4%) voted for independence but Russians did not let us go! Freedom for Catalonia!
