With the new release of Apex Season 15 we get Catalyst. A brand new legend with extremely unique abilities that are going to totally shake up the way we play the game. In this video, I will break down Catalyst's abilities and we will uncover just how good this legend is and how different the meta will be in Apex Season 15.
First off, I'm going to cover Catalyst's abilities and then let's go over how viable this legend will be and what legends she will pair very well with to dominate in your games. Who knows you might want to be a Catalyst main after we cover the brand new legend here.

I’m pretty hyped for this Legend, been consuming Catalyst content from every and anybody these last few days, seeing all kinds of videos… but this has been one of the better videos. Good job. I feel Respawn always purposely bring out Legends stronger then as intended, so they can maximize hype and purchases, before scaling back. I think she will be B+ at release and C later, maybe D if they scale too much. Hopefully she drops off decently after the honeymoon phase, because I don’t wanna fight for her lol~

I think crypto will counter catalyst. The drone is different from seer and bloodhound scans because it is the thing scanning rather then the player doing it. You could hypothetically fly the drone up above the wall and scan down on enemy locations as well as possibly emp and destroy the wall altogether. If crypto’s emp effects the other defense legends it will effect catalyst.

Continuing to put out Legends that promote camping isn’t beneficial for overall player development. Ultimately I see the same thing over and over again, campers get pushed and have no gun skills/mechanics/game understanding and don’t win fights because they think they can hide behind endless shields or gas. They are basically encouraging ppl to crutch on abilities that won’t ever help them improve at the core skills of this game. Catalyst may very well help you get a bat off in season 15 but if you can’t use your gun it makes no difference at all. The sheer amount of Rampart players who never pull out Shiela once in a game is the perfect example as to why camper Legends don’t promote high skilled players. And I’m not saying there aren’t cracked defensive legend mains out there, but they are cracked cause they’ve got skills and know how to abuse abilities. Awesome breakdown btw much appreciated!

I think it’s the players trying to be like the guys they see on yt I play with a lot of players that do the same thing so I can complain I also fall into the place where my teammates aren’t very good in gun play but I love the abilities. That’s what separates apex from the Fortnite’s etc

@@GrizzyyG honestly, it seems like anyone can sprint jump over the tactical if they see it. I'm wondering if the width will be buffed if it proves too weak.

@@ThaddeusV21 ya but there are plenty of applications that aren't just players running in a straight line at an enemy. You can still throw those tacs behind someone's cover to stick them in place and push/nade

@@GrizzyyG for sure I can see the utility. It's like a different spin on an Ash tactical. A bit more placement focused, but it can stick more than 1 enemy. Defensive comps are the obvious builds with Catalyst but comboing her with a Fuse sounds like pain too.
