I have had exactly the same experience as others with the dial failing on two cases now. In each instance the watch was functional for no longer than a week. Catalyst have been polite but ultimately unhelpful. After 30 days your no longer eligible for a refund and after 45 days your no longer eligible for free shipping when seeking a replacement product. They’ve offered to continue to replace the cases for the duration of the warranty period but have refused to refund it despite the design defect. Clearly even they don’t stand by the quality of the product. I suspect the latest version is different to the one in your video and you may wish to consider warning people about the issue.

I haven't, but my experience is that once a company like Catalyst introduces something cool and innovative, there are then a dozen knock-offs you can buy through Amazon or eBay if you want one on a tight budget...

I had issues with the dial too ☹️ after 3 months … I standby “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. My series 6 catalyst waterproof case lasted me for quite a long time until the outer shell got damaged by me… i don’t know what went wrong with the newer designs but it’s upsetting me, having paid 100+ Singapore dollars for it 😞 I reached out to them, they offered to send me a replacement but I’ve got to pay shipping. Seems like I’m not the only one having dial issues

Google the definition of the different IPX values to learn, there are specific measures of immersion time.

Whatever you do, don’t buy catalyst total protection case for applewatch. I bought one and the Digital Crown doesn’t spin when you’re using the case, which means you cannot unlock the watch in the water. Also, people cannot hear you properly when you are using the case. I thought the case was tough, it does look like it, but it becomes useless for water sports, as you need to remove the case to unlock the watch once the water lock is on .

Also, I complained and catalyst sent me 2 replacements, but both replacements presented the same issues. I’m trying now to get a refund, hopefully I’ll get it

I've had really good experiences with Catalyst so am surprised by your feedback. Let us know if you do manage the refund (though probably going to your point of sale to ask for the refund is more likely to succeed than going straight to the manufacturer). Good luck.

So its complete protection but without a screen protector? I have one of these cases from catalyst but find it pointless if I cant have a screen protector.

I don't know that I'd say completely pointless. The vast majority of the damage incurred even by your phone comes around the edges. With a watch (especially with a raised bezel, that's even more true. Life can certainly find a way to just align the stars and stab your watch with a wall corner as you absent-mindedly backhand it for some reason, so a screen protector isn't a terrible idea, but I wouldn't even say it's critical.
