Hope you are well AKMOMO. Nice see you around Discord and KZfaq. Playing against the very strong OWS potential was critical. I usually don’t advise to play defensive for newer players but I believe that was a situation that called for it.

Enjoyed the video and hope you have a less stressful return. Imo once you draw 2 VPs out of the first two devs and red's already 2 up on army then you never buy another dev and just focus on citying the 5-8-10 which is a huge production boost, and fight road against blue who has very awkward road pathing, no port, and didn't even city his primary road mats hex. If red doesn't go two dry on soldiers at the end then I don't think he ever loses army.

you do understand I got my city so late in the game it basically didnt matter? because I couldnt get any wheat trades because I wasnt rolling cards right? Especially 5s which was great trade value for black if I ever rolled any in the mid game. Also road is 2 points if I am losing that badly and wish to have even the smallest of chances to win I need to prioritize other ways to increase my production which the 5411 does well and better with if I ever get on to the sheep port. Just an unfortunate game where dice and 7s rolled me hard.

@@awesomeaggron5236 my comment was only from orange's perspective, since I think at that point in the game it would have been easier to fight road for orange than to fight army for the reasons mentioned above. I'm not even saying you necessarily citied the wrong spot, although I do think your biggest mistake was taking the 9-5-10 first.

@@DoWorkDaily i dont fully agree here with 5910 being a large mistake The reasonn i dont go 643 here is i dont see great outs with that spot. Maybe 6910 was better on the surface as I lock down the 84 on the return trip but I didnt feel it provided me enough of a competitive niche, but tbh I don't mind 5910 with the thought process that 5411 pairs well with it and I have a good road network under assumption red didnt go 810 losing my fundamental important port. I think the error is not 5910 itself but not capitalizing on red taking 810 and instead going 3411. This does 2 things gives me usable ports and locks drew out of immediate ore. 5910 was not the problem overall however the 4511 while great on paper is a trap once 810 is taken. I think I still get rolled by dice here but its a better plan fundamentally than what I had. I hope this gives insight on the mistakes made from my perspective.

Thanks! I appreciate you not resorting to spite blocks after I took the 6 3 11. You with the 6 5 11 is absolutely lights out GG, so I felt forced in my position there.

There got to be some luck boost for catan youtubers to lure new players or something. I constantly get joke rolls or get robbed to death. Last game got blocked 43 cards while my opponents got blocked for 7 cards all together. Got screen of that. This is like 80% of games I have. This just got to be some rigging going on. The probability makes it impossible for me to get treated like that by dice.

That's how it is in gaming community. How is this a problem? That is your gamer tag and how you are recognised. Dandys gamer tag is Dandydrew and so his youtube, twitch and whatever have that name
