Catania - Winter City Break in Sicily, Worth it?

I spent 2 days in Catania in December. Here is a little travel vlog of my stay. I will be showing what to do in Catania as well as what it looks like in the winter.
Catania Airport is very close to the city centre so if on a stopover don't hesitate to go check it out.
The black city is full of history thanks to the many different civilisations that invaded it over the years. It is located at the foot of mount Etna, the famous volcano that was actually erupting as I visited.

The last part is the poorest and dirtiest part of the city but not the most rough. It's great you entered that part of the city without being scared, they can perceive it as they grow up in the streets, they have high instincts, but they can be the most cool, warm, humble and human people you can get.

So good to see you again Nathalie and I miss the Heygo experience but this was great. Thanks for showing us around this part of Italy. Interesting but sad to see the run-down parts. Looking forward to more video's in the future.

What a nice video, very complete and interesting, you show exactly what I was looking for, not only the perfect beautiful side of the city. I'm going to Sicily in 3 days, and I've been completely overwhelmed with packing, the weather preview one day shows 10 degrees and rain, another 21 and sunny, and since we are planning to visit Etna, we also have to think of snow, so you can imagine, not easy, especially when traveling low cost. Thanks for showing that Catania can also be pretty out of summer season ❤

He was named after Toulouse from the Disney movie, The Aristocats. When I was younger, I had a gorgeous white Persian cat who was named Marie after the kitten also from the movie 😻

Awareness and promotion of no litter or no graffiti is the best weapon followed by heavy fines or jail/communal time to clean up the damage and harm done. Thank you. Grazzie Mille.

Absolutely littering the ocean (or anywhere as it will finish in the ocean) should be punished. Sadly we still don't take it seriously enough yet ....

Bravo pour votre video ! Tres interessant et different des video habituel. Je suis Québequois et je vais en Sicile en juillet prochain avec ma conjointe et mes enfants . Premiere fois en europe nous avons bien hate . 4 jours a Rome 6 jours du coté de Catane et 6 jours du coté de Palerme . En tout cas merci pour se video .

What a nice video thank you for sharing it. Is there a way that the ministry of tourism for all of Sicily is made aware of all the litter and graffiti which needs to be cleaned up at once to have all the architectural, environmental, of the entire island be healthy, prettier and more marketable for the well being of all? My goodness how disgraceful to be seeing a marvel of an island Italian filled with so much history, culture, etc, etc. and see all of that graffiti all over the place and litter. It has to be stopped and eradicated.
