Yes, I DO like both the poem AND fishing! You two are just SOOOOO much fun, LOVE getting to hang out with two even via video! Growing up mostly in the Pac. NW I grew up catching all of our once bountiful rockfish species, and a right of passage was getting stung by their spines...VERY painful, much worse than catfish...but seems like it happened to EVERYONE once! ;-) Keep on casting, and keep on sharing Captains! As far as sea conditions, up in the Pac NW & British Columbia we'd regularly get 10-15 foot tidal exchanges, and while I never, EVER minded the rollers or big swells (you can find your rhythm) it was straight up MISERABLE when the tide was going one direction, and the wind the OPPOSITE...we called it getting caught in the washing machine, and yep, beat us up pretty good banging around in the boat LOL!

I LOVE Golden Tilefish! I used to be able to buy it commercially back in the 1980's but haven't seen it since. You're right it is a delicacy right up there with Lobster.

Is there anything more exciting than watching these two fish? They have enthusiasm I hope they never lose. I hope to be able to book a trip for me and my grandsons.

Ok I'm seriously hooked on you two and yes pun intended. Since I'm trying to catch up on your videos this came across my feed and I had to click the button. First one of my friends makes custom rods (Crazy Horse Fishing Rods...shameless plug) and he's an avid fisherman. We live on the east coast (MD) and he will go anywhere and charter a boat and what he can't eat he gives to me. The first time he shared tile fish he caught 60 miles off shore in about 700' of water I literally, like you said, thought I was eating lobster or fillet mignon of the sea! Love your channel!

I do this deep drop fishing too! We fish the slope waters off NJ in 80 to 120 fathoms. My #'s are top secret too! Nice video lady's. Be very careful with those gill plates on the tiles! They are like razor blades.

My Buddy just bought one of those Daiwa Tanacom reels: and I’m headed to Destin for big Red Snapper & Grouper! I’m a cancer patient and we bottom fish in 300 ft. of water so I may use that reel a lot. Thanks for the tips!

Tanacon has a small knob top left that of adjusted properly stops the backlash by it self no need to hold spool with thumbs ... FYI

Dont need to manual reel at all. When reel stops close throttle and open back up again. But it starts with zeroing out the counter before you drop.

Wow, how much does an 8lb sinker cost? The price of lead has gone though the roof here in California. I used to use wheel weights to cast but they stopped making them out of lead.

If u read the mini-s 50ish ft boats that together make up a 300 ish ft fast shipper or ferry, I think something under 50 ft similar deal will work for chart fishers. Most ppl 65% want go out fishing bc of rough seas or fear of them. If 2 47ish ft fishing V bottom & cat style center consoles were connected by middle arch hydraulically clamping & u can drive in or out of. More ppl would go fishing bc 2 boats is far smoother ride than any 1 boat hull can match or provide. If not arch connected to another boat just a pontoon type outrigger other side. Better if both boats similar displacement design size then diff s tracks straight easily.
