We hit Henry Hagg Lake on Halloween weekend and fished hard, all over the lake for about 5 hours. We made a last second run to a different spot (last ditch effort) and immediately got into a school of big fish. It was an awesome couple of hours. We caught lots of fish and shared lots of laughs. We nearly caught our limit and then the darkness forced us to call it quits.

Highly recommend it. It gets a ton of trophy stockers and there's solid holdovers all year, and never ending bank access.

They were really finicky and honestly we only found one hole that they were biting in!

If you see this comment before the morning, I’m curious what set up you use for Hagg off a boat. I’m going in my kayak tomorrow but I normally fish for stockies from the bank. Love your content!

We truly appreciate it! We actually just anchor up and fish bottom with a Carolina rig from the boat most of the time. We've trolled lures and spinners or drift occasionally but typically just good old bottom still fishing. Long leader, get around and find them and then lock in.

I was there this Sunday fishing by the parking lot near the rocks & caught just a small one in 4 hours 😢

They were really finicky and only found 1 hole they were biting. We've found that it's best to just move around- try a spot for a half an hour and then move on elsewhere.
