@@Juanito23384 This one has 50 feet which is more than enough for this time of year. We have used up to 150 feet before. This is just a cheap Amazon one that you can get for under $40. In the past, we've used an old protoco crab ring.

@@lizav2296 This video was from a few years ago in early June. I would always recommend taking the boat just to easily cover more water. But you can do the same on shore. Start at the Dam on either side and then check out other spots. You can't go wrong either way

@@user-ju8yo7rt2w I realize they have put in thousands of these trophy sized Trout, so although they may be "average" for this body of water, they are still fat/big in my opinion. Lots of people who don't fish often or who have never fished this body of water are very surprised and happy when they hook into one of these. For years, it was just legal stockings so having only trophy plantings now is very unique and a great opportunity. That's who these videos are for.

8-12 feet is the range we stick with normally. Occasionally we'll do 5-6 feet or up to 15 feet.

I saw a short of your hook removal but can't find it anymore. That made me cringe because I've buried a hook in my finger before and I could feel it all over again 😂 Pretty rough place to get hooked. Hope it heals up quickly!

Right now only about 30 feet or so. I run 100 feet so I can fish it other times of the year without changing rope out.

It's much better than it used to be as they cleaned it up and police it often. Still isn't great but I feel safe out there, especially when there are lots of fishermen around.

Wow! Thanks for the kind words. It's all about just finding a pattern each trip and not letting it go. Seems like it's different each day depending on the water level, current, temperature, how many people are in a certain spot. It can be tricky when it's combat fishing.
