Awesome. Right after my fly fishing mentor passed, I took the rod and reel he had placed in my safe keeping before he passed and went to the place where he taught me to fly cast. I had a day just like this and caught fish until my arms hurt; rainbows, cuts, browns, big, little. I walked back to the car with tears in my eyes that day. Thanks for bringing back that memory. 😇

I have to say. I’m such a beginner and I’ve fished the North Platte in Wyoming and The Yellowstone river and snake rivers in Wyoming. I’ve never seen that many trout surface feeding right under your rod tip like that. That’s a jam up spot and your videos and others have inspired me to make a trip up there to fish. I’m coming up there from Ga in the spring. Already planning my trip. I’m a fan of Wooly Buggers and Big action underwater flies. Great video and thank you for sharing your experiences.

I was at the same exact spot you’re standing at fishing last Saturday. I caught a huge beautiful kype rainbow 24inches long weighing 3 pounds. My buddy helped me net it.
