With Bare Hands and Barefoot, we catch and cook massive Giant Crabs, and then taste delicious Curry Crab with spices and coconut milk. We had to wade through the Gwa Tass Swamp in Cabrits National Park outside Portsmouth.

What an adventure! David you are so brave, but luckily Dominica has no poisonous snakes nor crocs or gators. Your feet must have been sore for days, and I'm sure that it was all worth it. Thanks for another great episode. And yes, this was definitely a Fearless and Far episode. 😆

David you out did it with this one. I wasn't expecting this video. Blew me away. I love, love, love it. Survivor, Amazing Race and Lost came to mind. Omg, what an experience - excitement, suspense, comradery. This Dominican here would have taken off shoes before the guides could say it and I would be in the water, maybe even making a splash. Dominica is for the adventurous too. Dominica is so raw, truly "nature isle" and you captured the heart of it. This is one of my top favorite videos in this series. Nate is super cool and seems to enjoy it all. The crab curry look good and she had you cooking too, lol. Dominica loves you. We'll be waiting patiently for you guys return. Hi David. What an adventure seeing you and Nathan doing something way out of what we expected you both to do. I was scared as hell for you going through that swamp without wading boots and a hat. Was so glad when you all got out of there. What happened to your shoes and socks? That curried crab was worth it because it looked so delicious. In my day, we only ate crab in callalloo. Very sweet meat. So it was nice to see that you have finally taken that swim in the sea. 🏊 This was exciting, adventurous and scary all at the same time, but you and Nathan muddled through. We had shoes and socks but they would have been absolutely demolished if we had gone in the swamp with shoes on lol. But yeah it was definitely worth it, the crab was amazing and we loved it. And its funny when I jumped into the ocean and was editing this I thought of your earlier comment about not taking a moment to jump into the ocean. It was truly magical. @@lauralarsen181 English is not David's first language so don't be mad if he doesn't always pronounce it the right way. Sometimes he gets it right and sometimes he doesn't. I have heard some of the people there pronounce it differently too. We, in the Caribbean/West Indies grew up pronouncing it the right way so give him a break. He visited the island to see what it had to offer and so far, he is doing a great job.🇹🇹🇨🇦

@@Sassy_Muffin136 you are so right. I didn't hear anybody in Dominica correcting his pronunciation. As a matter of fact, he was the one trying to get it right. So the people who are taking offense to the way he says it, should really consider the fact that David takes a lot into consideration and that there is a lot of extensive planning and preparation for these trips; that he doesn't just jump on a plane and travel to a country or island. He even makes the distinction between Dominica and the Dominican Republic. Spanish is David's first language so his way of pronouncing words will be different to an English-speaking person. I shake my head too at this criticism. We are all getting to see what Dominica has to offer and so far, I love it and I am enjoying what he did there. So people should lighten up a bit. Sassy Muffin, I hope you are enjoying the series too. BTW, thank you for being so open- minded and responding to my comment.❤️🤗🇹🇹🇨🇦

I had to watch this one again and for the second time I truly enjoyed it. Watching you eat the curried crab made my mouth water. Too bad that after all that hard work catching the crabs that the other guy couldn't eat it because of his allergic reaction. It was like watching kids eating and enjoying their food. 😋. That drink at the end was the perfect wash down for the curry. It was funny, it was scary because you weren't wearing waders and a hat or wrap to protect your head, and exciting as well. Nathan was a good sport and he looked like he enjoyed it too. You finally took that swim that I kept telling you to do. That was nice. What a relief!!! Thank you for that. Made my day. I am from Dominica, where people have tough soles on their feet, allowing them to walk barefoot comfortably. In contrast, the majority of Americans have soft soles due to wearing shoes almost all the time-about 99.99% of the time, to be precise. Wearing shoes regularly softens the soles. My own soles used to be tough, but since moving to the United States, I also wear shoes about 99.99% of the time. David should have worn shoes.

This was so interesting to see you both doing this. "Sledge hammer " I use to call my uncle too😃 I remember my uncle's going to do this and yes at night. Sometimes it use to have a barrel full of crab. To be curried as well. I enjoyed the video David💕💕💕

Yes! We wanted to go at night but then we couldn't have filmed. I can only imagine how it must be out there during the evening though. Thats so funny your uncle's name was also Sledge Hammer.
