Can you #CatchKirby? The world's fastest motorsport is back in the skies in 2014! And, to prepare for the upcoming Red Bull Air Race in Dallas-Fort Worth, US pilot Kirby Chambliss tests his speed throughout the metroplex with the help of the Fort Worth Police.

About: The Red Bull Air Race World Championship features the world's best pilots in a motorsports competition based on speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, Red Bull Air Race pilots navigate a low-level aerial race track made up of air filled pylons, flying at speeds reaching 230mph while withstanding forces of up to 10g. The objective is to complete the course, navigating the 65 feet high specially designed inflatable pylons known as Air Gates in the fastest possible time. Red Bull Air Race pilots must pass between the Air Gates in the correct position taking care not to touch them with their wings. The pilots compete for points at each Red Bull Air Race and the one who accumulates the most at the end of the season is crowned Red Bull Air Race World Champion.

I have flown with Kirby Chambliss on a number of occasions. Kirby is an outstanding aviator and a true professional in every sense of the word. I've done that! Late at night, Thurston County (Washington State) skirts the edge of Ft Lewis Army Base, where they train Rangers, Spcl Forces, and lots of foreign troops. Empty road gave my radar a reading of 220mph so I hit the spot light to see what was going on (by the way the radar was responding I knew it was tracking something). A few seconds later I was buzzed by a very dark and very quiet helicopter! Scared the crap outta me! They used to a bunch of experimental stuff there so I saw all kinds of strange things late at night.

There’s no chance for a helicopter to be as fast as the fixed wing aircraft! I have to admit both helicopters and airplanes are really badass machines I love them all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

2 factors. The Type of fixed wing and the type of helicopter. If you put a Cessna 172 against a Blackhawk, the 172 loses all day every day. If you put a P-51 Mustang against a Blackhawk, the Mustang will kick it's ass with no trouble.

It's against poor people, black people just happen to be in that poor category at a much higher rate. And I live in the hood, I can tell you right now 90% of the time a crime was committed, it's just that speeding or a BnE doesn't require them to beat the suspect into submission.

Parece que el único límite para los movimientos de estos aviones es la propia resistencia del piloto a las g+ y g-, pero que por lo demás son capaces -casi- de todo... Yo también he visto algunos de estos "insectos de metal" en vivo, y uno se pregunta cómo es posible que haya alguien ahí dentro, y que no acabe "echando la pota".

Eso es Alan solo esas G los limitan por eso creo que Red Bull contrata a ese tipo de personas para que hagan lo que nosotros no podemos y asi disfrutarlos en sus variadas presentaciones motos, autos,avines .reto estratosfera,paracaidismo,hombres pajaros etc. Saludos desde Tijuana Mexico.
