The d7 would be the tool to remove the pond sand. Though this one needs worked too. Going in I noticed the 48 dozer and Jiminy crickets I would like to see her do as good as this do. Good work man.

looks like a good outfit, I had a d4 but it had a holt blade on it which meant 1 tip would dig in and less control over the blade. you've got a nice machine! wish I hadnt sold mine but needed a better blade. thanks for the video!

Great, or beyond great to see the revitalization of an otherwise "throw away junker." Runs and sounds fantastic.

great service, the trees been nice to see some of them used and fence post since some idiot is in the green house killing us on fuel prices and everything follows that with inflation prices. But great video

I seen a good tip when changing the oil. If you stick the shop vac hose in the oil cap hole and turn it on. It will create a vacuum in the oil pan so you can take the oil plug bolt out without wearing the oil. It also saves you from scalding yourself on a hot oil change.

Plain to see you know your way around the maintenance end and not too shabby with the operating skills and you’ll only get better as you get more familiar with the machine. Good content keep the videos coming.

I enjoyed the video. They make some rippers that you can mount on the back of a blade and you could rip that hard sand when you’re backing up, they fold up out-of-the-way when you go forward to push dirt.

Grandpa on the farm, he could spot a piece of trash a mile off. I just figured it out. The white jug laying off to the side. Ugly eyesore on a beautiful farm. 🚜

Job well done ...I do believe it is part of your future plans to give that d2 track dozer a well deserved high pressure bath and some nice cat yellow paints to bring that old machine to her former glory...that would be interesting to watch ...good luck and keep up the good work.

Pretty good job on that thread repair. Just wondering why you don't replace the old split washers when you reinstall the bolts. I've learned to always replace them, especially when they are already beaten out and flat like the ones you had there. I prefer to have something in there to help retaining the bolts again, especially with all the vibrations you get on a metal track machine.

I think its original (The Blade) I owned one exactly the same many years ago . The Original owner told me that he bought it new with that fixed blade , it apparently came also with a dam scoop attached behind also original.

The diagonal cut has another advantage, when pressing it presses the cut surfaces together, with the straight version the adhesive surface can shear off!!

Super glue is much harder than rubber. A diag cut adds more super glue, a verry hard spot in a rubber 0 ring seal

To remove blade leave hydraulic cylinders on Cat, just pull front pin, no messing with hoses.

Sealing ring : You should make a diagonal cut!! This way you get more adhesive surface !!

Using your mag drill, could you use an oversized drill bit to taper the holes you welded up for the tapered bolts?
@Randys_Relics
@Randys_Relics 11 ай бұрын
If you had one with the correct taper it may work. I'm not sure it would be rigid enough. The weld metal would have to be very uniform.
