Really?! A lot have been genuinely lonely (recently widowed, etc.) and fallen hard for these scumbags because they know exactly how to get to their heart. Loneliness and then finding love will make you do all kinds of things that seem irrational (like sending all that money). Very few I have genuinely disliked and felt they deserved it. Even Jody, who was pretty dislikable, was desperately lonely and believe mentally deficient, such was her craving for attention.

It’s most likely that the Catfished team had to give the resident heads up that they were coming ... and the purpose. Which is why so little was said at their meeting. The team would need to know the meeting would go to plan (with the resident).
