Күн бұрынHere we go, whipping out the big guns today....it's about TIME I finally got around to reacting to this one! I'm so angry that I didn't check this one out sooner, but in a way it hurts more after seeing TROS and knowing that this incredible saga is all over :( Gonna go cry now.
HFP, what can I say, you know how to get my tear ducts flowing. As always, you're incredible and your content is freakin' fabulous. The force is seriously with you.

"HAPPY LATE MAY 4TH EVERYBODY!!
Probably May 5th now for most of you, lol. I think there has been every obstacle you can imagine that got in the way of this video from being released. Nevertheless, the force prevailed!
Again, sorry for the wait everyone, I was getting around a nasty worldwide block on this video from our beloved friends from Disney. Thankfully, I finally got around it!
Before I get into it, let's all share this to Mark Hamill! I'd love for him to see one of my videos again, especially this one!
Anyway, this is a tribute about not only Luke Skywalker, but also a bit about our beloved Master Yoda himself. These were two Grand Masters that fostered two different eras of Jedi, but failed them in similar ways.
Now, I myself have many issues with the creative decisions Rian Johnson took with this movie. It tonally struggled throughout its narrative which allowed the movie to be unbalanced. There were also other subplots that really weighed the movie down as well. However, most of the scenes with Luke Skywalker I completely adored. The scene with Luke failing Ben took me awhile to really accept, but in the end I finally understood.
Fear has driven the Jedi for so long and most of them didn't even know it. The motives and intentions were just, but it became their own undoing. Luke and Yoda both suffered from their fear of the dark side, but that fear was what ultimately created it. Anakin was the victim of that system, and Luke understood that, which is why he thought it was best for him to die and the Jedi with it. Not just because of the Jedi order, but mostly because of his hate for himself and how miserably he failed.
This movie taught me that even the best of us can hit rock bottom, but it's what we do with that situation that truly shows our character. Luke's arc in The Last Jedi was great because he learned the importance of forgiving himself and making amends for past failures. It wasn't about throwing away the past, it was about learning from it in order to move forward.

Yoda saying "You will be"... even if i dont like the latest 3 movies, the thought of those planets blowing up, the failure of being a teacher, hiding on an island alone... it gives goosebumps, because YES... luke WILL become more than scared.. he's terrified.

None of them could, even when they thought they did, they couldn't it was impossible. This is why they failed and Luke Skywalker succeeded, he was afraid of losing everything and fought with all his might to protect those he cares for.

@@eduardojara6955 yeah no, what happend when luke couldnt let go? he walked into a trap and lost his hand, but then when he took vaders helmet off at the end of rotj, he had accepted that vader would die even if he was important to him, and sure obi-wan showed emotions at his losses that dosent mean he couldnt let go, honestly i cant explain it well enough so google Jeid-order-apologist, i know its from tumblr, but the man has endless proof of how wrong it is to think that they did the rigth thing by not letting go, and oh the code we all like to refer to is not the code but rather a meditation mantra

Yeah that something that stood out to me when I first watched the movies. When Yoda said that I was like hold on....how are you supposed to do that when youre attachment to others exists. Back then I was reading about Buddhism and idk but it sounded like what I had read in a book which I thought it was cool but anyways thats a line that stood out to me (:

The juxtaposition of scenes in Yoda’s talk with Luke about being afraid...Helps rectify some of the decisions Luke made in the sequels to the point I wish that had been addressed *in* the actual film the way it was presented here.

This film will be remembered as the greatest of the sequel trilogy because it's the only one with an original concept and took the story somewhere new, canto bight was shit tho, no saving that crap

Unless you grew up and lived these movies...you just won't get it. 1977, 1980, 1983....etc, those were magical times. Seeing the Empite version of yoda back on screen in Ep 8, brought real tears...because we lived it.

Darth Vader’s soul began to turn the moment he heard the pilots name were Skywalker. Darth Vader’s heart began to go back to Anakin Skywalker the moment Luke first called him Father. Darth Vader began to turn back to the light side the moment luke said “I am a Jedi like my father before me” He was basically saying “I love my father and you can’t do anything to stop that” Also the fact that he was his son jump and rather choose death then joining him (Luke btw knew he was hurting his dad) And then in return of the Jedi or maybe even before that we did camera he rather die himself than have his father killed. Luke saved Darth Vader. Luke loves his father and Anakin loved his son!

You know, people mock the sequel trilogy. Saying it’s this, and that. But I feel like what happened to Luke was understandable. As a young man, he had really no idea what being a Jedi meant. And the sacrifices that it would entail. So when he was confronted with the potential for darkness inside of Ben, he wasn’t ready, and ultimately failed. So thinking he couldn’t do anything more..he ran away from it all. But In the end, he cones full circle. Understanding that failure is okay. And ultimately became the Jedi he started out to be.

I am confused right now. You are literally the first "Reacting to..." person where I have watched a video completely, and not just stopped when the reacted to video was over. I can't explain why. Anyway, be safe in these troubling times and may the force be with you. PS: And as soon as I wrote that comment, my browser suddenly disappeared... no crash or some such, just blending out. Well if the sequels gave us anything it was more scenes to work with for our OWN fan made compilations. Love that the story can touch anyone. It’s not about agenda, the only thing that should be kept safe is the integrity of character even the mistakes our heroes make.

I have two theories about that: 1. the whole backwards-speak thing is an affectation Yoda puts on just to mess with people or 2. he occasionally makes an effort to speak "normally" when he needs to be sure someone understands (ex: "There is another Skywalker" instead of "Another Skywalker there is."

blame the fans as it would work with luke as the main character anymore , remember by the time lucas sold it, mark was in his 60s if the fans didnt annoy lucas all those years, the wuld be more movies with them as major characters

Lucas never intended Luke to die, he was to guard and protect the galaxy with his sister while leading a new generation of Jedi. The new films are not even good enough to be called fan fiction because a true fan would know better. Luke was supposed to become an even greater Jedi than Yoda. But Disney hate Luke.
