@Ru22eLL Born in 71 so yeah, more than familiar. By the way I'm not even American. He had major interviews on large show shows that aired internationally (Oprah, CNN, WWF), a high selling book, etc. Sure he obviously wasn't as well known then as now, but to claim he wasn't famous? And Road Runner, you go from one comment " I'm from the Uk and had never heard of him" to "I'd heard of Trump but" in the very next comment.

Hasn't even been a real expectation for years. Once the internet started putting established news media out of business, they realized the only way to make a buck was to stoke anger across the aisles. A dispassionate reporter is an unemployed reporter.

I don't know how Cathy continues holding that job after the Jordan Peterson interview. Regardless of what caused it -- unprepared, a bad day, mistaken, shockingly stupid, whatever -- it was a lack of competence that an employer and the public should not stand for. It's part of life.

I have so much respect for Bret Easton Ellis. I wish more people just didn’t give a shit about either side. This country forgets that Democrats make up only 1/4 of this country, Republicans make up another 1/4. Half of our country listens to both sides argue and just laughs at the stupidity of it all.

I am a Daughter of the American Revolution. Therefore I am Cherokee, Creole, Jewish Irish and Scotish. After the 1990's racism changed. Me and my family could order a pizza to be delivered in a small town and the person who delivered did not ask 'Why are there black people in your house?" But the new people coming into our country are coming from countries that are still racist. USA are not racist anymore. As a 70 year old I am the first generation that my family can come out to me and I accept them completely. USA citizens are 90 percent not racist or homophobes.

Nothing against Cathy Newman personally, but I behaviorally she is the variety of person that seems to be so preoccupied with the things that other people say or do as being offensive or oppressive that she fails to see how offensive and oppressive she actually is being by engaging in the preoccupation in the first place. Even after Jordan Peterson she still doesn't get it. Not learning is not growing and she is still stuck in place. The Best each of us can do "for society" is to take the responsibility to control our own conduct, and The Worst we can do is to endeavor to control the conduct of others. I.E. DO NOT violate the Three-Foot Rule. Cathy Newman continues to do The Worst. Hopefully, she will someday grow up and learn to do better!

He speaks a lot of sense. You can view Trump as terrible and also some of his obsessive opponents who denigrate anyone who does not fully sign up to their obsession. It is possible for both of these things to be true at the same time.
