In a sudden intrusion, the Player breaches the Playtime Co Factory, causing panic among the Smiling Critters. Catnap, displaying bravery, confronts the Player and manages to chase them away. However, later on, the Smiling Critters find Catnap lying unconscious on the floor. Believing Catnap to be deceased, they mourn and hold a funeral in his honor. Amidst their grief, Huggy and Poppy propose transforming into monsters to seek revenge and eliminate the Player.

Poppy Playtime is a horror video game where the player plays as an unnamed former employee of Playtime Co. who returns to the abandoned toy factory of said company after receiving a letter from the staff who were thought to have disappeared 10 years ago.The player discovers that the factory is filled with toys who are alive and malicious towards them, and starts looking for a way to escape the premises.
Chapter 3: "Deep Sleep" is the third installment of the indie franchise: Poppy Playtime.
Following the Train crash which took place during Chapter 2: "Fly in a Web", the monstrous new antagonist CatNap makes attempts at killing the player through a trash compactor before the player fortunately escapes. Alongside a new character, Ollie, our player is tasked to restore power to Playcare and the Gas Production Zone in order to bring an end to CatNap's reign of terror. However, there are new characters in Playcare who have been tasked by CatNap and The Prototype to track down and capture the player.
