To the person who read this, It’s been hard for you, I know, and it makes me sad that you don’t see yourself in the way I see you. Sometimes they are things in life that cause us to loose ourselves, and the way you have is so unimaginable painful. I miss your smile, the way your eyes light up the whole room just by the sound of your laughter. Everyone changes throughout life, some get sad, some get happy, some just feeling like there's no point in living. I've lived with depression throughout my whole life. I feel pain and heartbreak everyday. By people who leave, when they said that they would stay. The people who made everything alright and okay. Sometimes I find myself on the edge, I have the choice whether I want to keep hanging on, or if I just want to let go. I try to force myself to breathe. Everyday it gets harder when I can't see myself in the future, as happy. I've been through and through, the thoughts of being suicidal, and being alone. The pain never heals it just piles on and grows. Medication might make you think that it helps, but it doesn't. Depression controls everyone in a different way. It can make ourselves bleed and even cry everyday. But the moment we get happier, the moment we realized that we aren't ever the same. Because the true part of ourselves and the depression, becomes buried deep inside of everyone of us. And just one simple bad thing could trigger us off, and make us feel lonely, and dig our feelings back up.

I’ve recently gone through a lot. About a year ago I met this amazing girl. She was amazingly smart and beautiful and yet kinda broken. All I wanted to do was help her fix her and grow close to her. We did. I get close to her. And then we went on a school trip. We had the time of our life and we knew we grew closer. That’s same night on the ride home she fell asleep on my shoulder. I never felt closer to her. We both liked each other and then I thought to ask her out. She was flustered. And after running away and then a long pause she said that she’s not prepared. I went through the next couple of days ok and then the next week I started missing her more. Even though we talked to each other each day. I was greedy and all I wanted was to be with her. We ended up texting every day and every night and I got to comfortable and started only worrying about her. We would always text each other and when we did it was always about each other. We ended up talking about each other’s future. How many kids would each of us want. (As in in general not together) we talked about future houses and communities. We talked about how weddings should be like. We always laughed together. We always love to laugh. That’s how I first met her. I was talking to a friend of hers and she ended up joining in so I told her a joke. After all this I found out a lot about her and how she wasn’t always comfortable. I also found out how she might date me in high school. So I decided to be patient. And then I screwed it up. This entire time I usually told her corny jokes and things like that. And I called her the apple of my eye. This was funny at the time. It was one of my corny jokes. One of the last days of our school year I told her that corny line again. She started saying that she wanted me to stop saying that. I asked her why and she told me that she had constantly asked me to not say corny jokes. I said I didn’t know that. And then she ran away. See all this time I was stuck caring about her unconditionally that for some reason some things went in one ear and out the other. I was an idiot for me to let that happen. She ran away and then I get a text that said that she was sad and annoyed at me. And it’s all kinda blurry because when I got that text my world started spinning until I deleted the text. The text was basically saying all the reasons why she couldn’t be with me yet. Including so many of my flaws. I basically died that day. After that I stopped talking to her. I didn’t even think about how she felt. I was an idiot (she loved to call me that I’m a playful way but this time it’s true). I was broken so I stopped talking to her over the summer. I come back and we start talking really well. But I still feel distant. It’s all my fault and I just didn’t see it. We come back and after a while I start disappearing from our friend group more. Because I had started dating another girl. We grew even more distant but I truly was happy about the girl ie as dating. She was sweet and loving and cared truly. Or so I thought. The day of our one month anniversary she broke up with me. I was broken as well and then I find myself a month later still thinking about the summer and thinking about how dumb I was. And for another year I hold back my emotions. Just for the opportunity to stand next to her sometimes and continue talking to her. Eventually I broke. I wanted to scream and shout but i still couldn’t. So I thought the best to do was to tell her. Tell her how I feel. To tell her I still care. Next thing I know I don’t feel any better. She didn’t care about me. She felt I was being an idiot. She was gone. And I was left reminiscing. I still broken and every day I die because at least some part of the day I think about her. I recently found out she now has a boyfriend which honestly makes me want to cry but again. I can’t. I can’t express my emotions. I can’t move on yet. And I’m stuck. And this song. THIS SONG.
