Here are three ideas I am utilizing this summer - in addition to my regular study time (not in place of it): 1. I am writing out the book of Acts in an altered composition book. I have decorated the front, inside and back covers in pretty scrapbook paper. I put a pocket on the inside of the book and inserted into it is a pretty, large tag I made with a pretty crimped ribbon I dyed, and the tag outlines a summary of the book of Acts, the time it was written, who wrote it, the book's key verse, etc. I am almost up to Chapter 8 and each page of the book is decorated with inks (that don't bleed through), napkins (glued, not gessoed), stickers, stencil art, etc. Not only is my Acts book sooo pretty, the writing out of it slows me down, calms me down and allows me to soak up God's word. I may just write out altered comp books for each book of the NT. 2. My word this year is transform. I am utilizing a pretty faith dex box I purchased a few years ago from an Etsy shop, and making decoratred faith dex cards of Bible verses that deal with transformation of the believer. 3. I have a palm sized KJV Bible I purchased several years ago from Walmart yet wasn't really using. I came up with the idea of using it for Bible journaling this past month but not writing or marking in it, but using decorated index cards that I can just insert (not glue or tape) inside. Because the cards are the same size as my small bible pages, they fit nicely inside, and I have tabs and other pretty embellishments that show up when the Bible is closed, like your pretty Bible gardens. I am using verses from scripture writing plans for this. Anyway, friend, that is what I am up to. Love you, Cat!! PS I am on a mission to USE UP all of my journaling supplies!

I was struggling with which bible to read and which translation and my hubby suggested to pick 2 bibles and read a chapter once in one translation and again in another so a chapter a chapter in different translations might take a little longer to read it that way but what a wonderful idea so I'm starting with a NKJV interleaved to take the notes in and then an ESV Jesus bible in the peach ❤❤❤ I'm super excited about this and just hope someone will follow along with me in this 2 translation challenge my wonderful hubby came up with bless you all and love y'all ❤😊

Never got into the ESV much, but someone said it's like an NASB but updated. I could probably go faster with journaling, reading, studying the Bible, but I prefer to study slowly. I use KJV the most. To each his own, I always say! KJV and another version always study together, then I can become more used to it.

Another study I will come back to is highlighting the word Atonement, Offering and Redemption price in Leviticus and Numbers. Then tying it as the lead up toJesus in the NT.
