That machine at the last house is actually an old adding machine that prints out it's calculations.

I feel so old. An adding machine was a common thing 4O years ago in every office and home. Then came electronic calculators and now they too are obsolete because they are on our phones! So many changes in half a century your head would spin!

Very true! More often than not they really have nobody left but sometimes they do, never a good situation when there is 😖 We really didn’t expect it with this one as it was so wide open and no signs or anything!

Ive had a couple places where the neighbors were home and came to see what i was doing and just assured them that the location is never shared with anyone and once i leave i more than likely will never return. And only the owner can have you charged with tresspass strick laws here state it must be posted as private no trespassing multiple times and have proper visual aids like reflectors. I have never taken anything from them so im really not worried about getting in trouble a tresspass is usually a warning or here a fine is all and can't return. Im as respectful as i can be to the property. Happy exploring guys

@@sheilad83 that is not a definition, it may have an owner who owns that property and land, although the owner may not be visible to you, it does not automatically make the place abandoned. Urbex don't check the land registry or anyone to check the place is abandoned, only that it looks abandoned, i.e. it might be neglected , but not be abandoned. Urbex have a sneaky habit of getting into these place, and often whisper. The only condition for getting into a property is if there is an open window or door, so they class that as not breaking in, it is still nevertheless trespassing which is illegal, and they can be charged by a fine or even prison, usually if there is damaged involved. The farmer may have already come across trespassers or vandals to this property, or may know the owner. If the police were involved Sam and Jess may have been charged with trespassing depending on the policeman, so they didn't wait.

Lol! You crack me up: typewriter for numbers! That’s called an adding machine- before calculators! The house that had all the magazines- the ones with the ladies fashion were most likely sewing magazines. You would get your sewing patterns from magazines in Europe- unlike the US where we buy them at a fabric store.

Wow, that drama was intense! Good thing you took off, the last thing you need is problems with the local police. Back to those lovely homes. The first one was odd. How that house stayed together I'll never figure out, it must have been horrible in the winter. Particle board? Really? Her husband was worse then cheap! Mine's just as bad. Great explore guys! Super explore. I'm so old I have as a child used those outside privvy's, just a bucket under the hole, a box of ashes toi chuck on top. Terrifying when you were at your Devonshire Gran's aged six and needed the privvy in the night, had to go up the garden with a torch, light thew candle in the privvy shed and then watch the spiders and listen to the night noises. Character bulding to say the least! I also remember old ladies who wore dead animal pelts around their necks, like Fox or mink, they were called stoles I trhink. Fur coats were common as well back in the 50's and 60's. Really great exploe as usual.

Chipped wood walls, we call that particle board in the U.S. Used sometimes for flooring on top of concrete as well as on some walls like the old plaster cracked walls to get a smooth finish. Many wood stove platforms are particle board that's covered with metal. Our sheds we use to use it for roofs after a layer of this other black board which I cant say what it was called because back in the day its name then is naughty today. The box with the material circle usually ends up being a bedspread. I loved this house, the table magnificent, the bedroom furniture amazing!! The beauty going to waste when the owner clearly doesn't care about its value. Thanks for yet another great find❤ Stay safe, an add a language translator to your phones😊 xx

Another great explore. The carpets may have been rolled up because they were a tripping hazard for the owner. That was a narrow escape. I wonder how many others he has trapped on the property and then turned them over to the police. He acted like he'd done it before.

These explores always leave me with more questions than answers. Maybe I’m just over-thinking things, but you have to wonder how they end up that way - and why no one else who lives in the area seems to care. Hè is not the owner but a nosy neighbor. He reported you as squatters. I understood what he was on about. Most likely he wants the land the property is on, for a cheap price, but does not get it yet.

Just watching the 1000 bedroom château we dig victorian dumps and was lovely to see the lamp with a weight on that we dug up some time ago brilliant video we also dig up the old bottle that were on the table 😀 have subscribed and liked

The square cabinet that opens up in the second house is a mini-office. My uncle had one in England in the late 60s early 70s. They were quite common then!

Hopefully he can seal it up if he wants to avoid future visitors! Car chase would not have ended well, good footage though 😅😅😅

I am actually from the area you visited. Old farmers are like that around here. Most often empty abandoned properties here are left when multiple children inherit the house and a few children refuse to sell. They want the land and don’t find common ground's. I came from a family of farmers and when you where not suppose to be on the land because they did not know you… they simply got their guns out. This doesn’t happen now but 40 years ago they didn’t see anything wrong with it. They would get the gun and aim just behind your feet are close enough to make you scared. When you left, you would be the family talk during a beer drinking evening and they would laugh how shit scared you would have been. The old days …. I was an outcast in my family 😂😂😂… I do love them but my ambitions grew beyond the farms. I needed adventure and explore the world. Happy I did ❤️🙏

One of the boxes was of a sewing and knitting pattern magazine. It would come out every month. People kept magazines and journals as they didn't have any other copies to fall back on. No digi-copies in those days. 🙂

Be careful in other countries, they can have different rules to us, though I trust you did your research first 🙂. If the police had been involved you would have had your video footage to prove it was already open. I love to see explores in other countries, they often appear to be less vandalised. Thanks for the risks you take to bring us great videos 🙂

This was the first time I’ve watched y’all’s videos. I really enjoyed. I’m amazed at the courage y’all have in these places….the standing water would scare the s### out of me!!! Not to mention all of the living beings running around with more than two legs….no thank you. Glad y’all do it though….I did want to comment on the first house…..it occurred to me that it may have been possible that the reason the bed was in the diningroom by the door my have been that they were working on turning the room right across the hall in her bedroom when she suddenly became I’ll and passed away….the rugs rolled up and moved out of the way could have been done for easy access for ambulance crew or coroner……just a thought. Very sad but beautiful story I would imagine. Enjoyed the video.I’d like to have a dollar for every person who comes on your site to inform you that you are trespassing……smh.

You found an old accounting machine. My grandparents had one. Before the days of the calculator the only thing else you had was a slide rule. I went bother to explain what a slide rule is.

32:46. Its an adding machine. It totals up the numbers when you press a button or pull the handle up and then down. Similar to a checkout cash register.

Great video guys 👍 loved the first place, so old, and everything just left so strange how they just leave everything when someone dies over there and no one ever seems to clear a house out like we do over here, it just sits till well it rotts to the ground 😳and great second place too, what an angry old farmer completely not understanding atall what did he think he cud do , chase after u! Lourdes is a place in France where the Virgin Mary is reputed to have appeared. Lots of people go there on pilgrimage. It is well known as a place where sick people are taken in the hope of healing.

Interesting explore, thanks! Glad that you escaped the angry farmer. He's probably upset at the destructive people going in there (including druggies, as seen from the needles) and wanted to make you scapegoats. He may have also known the family and felt protective (to the point of being obnoxious?) I worked for a company in Brussels for 2 years and owning a home was super important to people I knew. It symbolized a lot of things, especially with family. Interesting fact: an extension to a house is called a kott (kot) and means something like shed. Until 1995 there really were no binding building plans in Belgium, so people just added on to their house as they wished without a permit. The painting at 24:46 of "Lourdes" is town in France and a Catholic shrine. People go there hoping for a miracle (from illness, disability) and the water is considered sacred. I'm not Catholic so my knowledge of this is only basic.

That’s very true, we can appreciate his frustration, it’s very hard with these places, more often than not there really is nobody left but sometimes there is! It’s a shame when this happens to be the case. The only option he has is to seal it as well as he can! 😢 That’s interesting about the building laws 😮 Lourdes looks beautiful, we will have to visit one day 😃 Thank you for your comment Derek 🙏🏼
