There are some people who carry really expensive outdoor knives around with them and God knows what they don't do with them, but when it comes to cutting a piece of cheese or meat with them, their oh-so-great knives fail and then they get out a second or replacement knife . У нас тоді на півдні жах якийсь був, в Миколаєві ще більш менш, а Одещина то взагалі. Хоча ми якраз виїхали за місто перед бурею були в селі на межі Одеської і Миколаївської області, то виїхати в Миколаїв тільки через три дні змогли, так як Очаківська траса була перекрита, добре що через погоду хоч не обстрілювали тоді Очаківську громаду , то були більш менш в безпеці. Але Ви, відчайдух, що наважилися в таку погоду в ліс піти 😱

This looked intense Sheva. I sure u stayed warm by ALL the wood u had to continue to chop to keep the fire up. Ur entire visit seemed to strictly chopping firewood. I hope it was enjoyable for u. What a great vid! One of the few times I really FELT it! As you went I thought of each step and I KNEW you were using that bark to put on the ground to insulate, and I knew you were going to build the wall backdrop... only thing I would have done different... behind the wall I would have placed long sticks to form a roof over the fire and shelter it further, and my wall would have been 3 sided to aim the heat better. I would have spent less time on the log length for the side walls as needed just making sure they were long enough... and finally I would have water boiling constantly for warm drinks even if just warm water.

Шалашик нужно строить на месте костра. Его сместить в сторону и поставить укрытие,а где был костер, наложить или ветки пихты,ели или просто ветки. Земля прогрелась и долго будет держать тепло.❤😊

Great video, I would have liked to have seen the rest of it. I love going out in weather like that! But I can't get anyone to go with me. They all think I'm nuts. I have a DD 3mx3m tarp and I usually set it up in a plow point. I know it can be hard to keep a fire going in heavy wet snow. That's why I like the plow point, you can have a small fire under it.

I've been waiting for a couple of years now, to do something like this. The last three years, we barely got enough snow, to even say we had snow. Great job, looking forward to doing this myself.

Be safe. I enjoy your camping videos, but this was scary. Losing fingers or toes to frostbite, or becoming ill from being cold and wet so long is not worth it just to have a video for us. I hope your hand heals soon. Looking forward to a snowy video from that cozy cabin you are building.

Здравствуйте Шева ! Хочу посоветовать вам посмотреть в Ютюбе,как делать долгоиграющие костры, в вашем лесу столько подходящих брёвен! Например костёр Нодья или Таёжный костёр, Нодья будет гореть всю ночь, её не нужно подкидывать, будет очень тепло 🙂

Если вы несёте топор и пилу, то газовый баллон с горелкой никак не помешает. Чтобы не заморачиваться с розжигом!!!!

Great content, beautiful watch, but I'm at a loss. Why no long fire? With such beautiful wood, a long fire would have been first on my list, or is the wood a lousy burn? For a bit of input try a tarp with centre line offs to get a more acute angle so the snow has less weight build up, also tie off to your A-frame at the front for more tarp tension.

hi, i love watching these types of survival outdoor challenges, you never know when they might be needed ?...but never properly understood how that concept of building a log barrier in front of a fire heats the person in the shelter..how does that work ? regards
