🔵 Men- If you get caught cheating, that is not “the end of your marriage”. The end of your marriage was when you slept with another woman. You already broke the covenant you made to your wife and to God. Thankfully, God can forgive and heal you if you truly repent. Sometimes the wife also needs to repent of mistreating and disrespecting her husband. This man seems to have a pure, repentant heart. I’m glad that God has given him grace, strength, and wisdom to live for his family.

Thank you for saying this. Sometimes the spouse that was cheated on feels entitled to their unforgiveness, bitterness and anger. I don't blame them for feeling that way but if a marriage is to survive, BOTH need to humble themselves before God. The cheating spouse must truly repent and the spouse cheated on must give the anger and bitterness to God.

One thing I can’t understand about this testimony, is him referring to his wife’s hurt and anger as “verbal abuse” There is a difference between righteous anger and hurt or being angry for no reason… there are husbands alive today who are truly experiencing REAL verbal abuse for no reason.

Sometimes… when we are angry and we have a good reason to be angry, we begin to sin. We begin to express that anger against that person in an unrighteous way because of emotions.. God says we can be angry about a thing but do not sin. Being angry doesn’t give you a free card to curse people and call them ugly things. It doesn’t mean she’s not allowed to be angry, she had the right to be… but you can be angry for the right reasons while handling it unrighteously. That’s just my understanding ❤️

@kaylakyle4461 My point though was that he hurt her and he should just forgive her even if she had moments of anger. The way he said it that it’s “verbal abuse” sounds like he’s not even sorry for what he did. When a person truly repents and is sorry for what he did, he will give the other person time to heal and carry her burden and won’t accuse her of verbal abuse or anything like that because it is HIS FAULT. It was him who hurt her deeply. That’s the Bible. When we hurt someone but are truly truly sorry and repent, we will not accuse the other person of anything. We will take full responsibility of what we did we won’t put others in it. Also, he never explained what this “verbal abuse” was so assuming that his wife “sinned” was not right cause we don’t know. he never went into detail.

According to his words, he went home everyday expecting his wife’s verbal violence. He endured it and passively received it. So from his attitude, I don’t see he viewed his wife’s revenge as a kind of abuse, but indeed a kind of punishment for his former wrongdoing. I guess he used the word “verbal abuse” to describe it was verbal violence instead of saying his wife was abusing her power.

Anger is not righteous for anyone, it hurts everyone. Forgiveness is the answer. Not saying you can’t be angry or have to restore a marriage where adultery occurred. But carrying anger and continuously lashing out against the spouse is only causing us to sin.

I love how he says “The Lord ___” Instead of saying I got this opportunity , it was The Lord gave me this opportunity… like he fully understands from a servant perspective how God presents things and He submits, obeys and seeks . “The Lord gave her these songs” vs my wife was writing these songs from God … the meaning doesn’t change but the importance and emphasis on The gift and opportunity for partnership that God gives them (and us) is emphasized.

No, it actually does change the meaning when you change the words, because you are putting "I" before God! It is not worship of the true God, but idolatry. Those are two different meanings, acts. There is one act: true worship of the Lord Jesus by the gifts He graciously has given us, and by His grace alone - or another: using the gifts He gifted us to serve Him and others to make ourselves look good, which is not an act of worship to the true God at all, but self-worship, and this changes the meaning, and thus, the acts are different. And this second act is costly, as prostituting the gifts of God for self aggrandizement and monetary gain has always been detestable before the Lord. By His grace, may we stay humble... In Jesus' name, amen!

OMG! I am truly touched and moved by this testimony all at the same time. I just kept crying in my spirit and praying to God. The sincerity in his voice is so palpable a you can literarly feel God’s presence on the words that he is speaking. We do not like to be wrong, and our egos become bruised when we stand corrected. The Bible provides details as to how we should conduct our lives so that we align with the will of God. We read the Word of God and gain wisdom regarding sins we need to remove from our lives. People who enjoy their sinful lifestyles don't want to hear they are wrong; they deflect from the truth and do what they want to do instead of what God asks of them. We will continue to study the Word and understand truth from false prophecy.

Do you think you made that preacher an idol? I cannot front , this is one of the reasons I said I would never marry a man in the especially military/service . I always felt they need to go into that service and journey with God alone and themselves . Then get married after leaving service . May God give peace , love and strength to wives of service men and the men in service . I am so glad God restored his marriage and may their walk with the Lord strengthen . Thank you for telling this story and being vulnerable . I know it was not easy 🙏

This testimony really speaks to the heart if a culture of easy access to wicked (adult) online content that leads to adulterous imaginations. Thank you Lord for this brother's selfless and fully transparent testimony of God's amazing grace and redemption. This is such a beautiful demonstration of a truly softened heart with the fruit of an actual repentance. Without such everything else is meaningless and non-effective. God is also fixing me and my god ordained spouse, he has us separated for the time being but he keeps reminding me of his promise To reunite us for marriage but the enemy is trying everything he can to get me to be disobedient but god has given me a supernatural strength to stand firm and resist the enemy so if he’ll do it for he can also do it for you if you seek first the kingdom and his righteousness.

My motto is, I’m going to forgive you, then, I’m going to forget you. Cheating is so vile, once you a man has sexual relations with another woman, I’ll never allow that person to touch me. It’s the biggest deal breaker for me.

@SachelleCambria sometimes, people who love you do hurt you. I think it's unrealistic to say and believe that they don't. Life happens, and sometimes it's through our challenges, hurt, and disappointments that we mature and develop in Christ.

Sometimes we cheat on God.. but it’s not a deal breaker for Him.. He calls us back to Him and tells us that He loves us.. even when we were found back in the filth of the world. Sometimes the Lord changes our mottos to better suit His will.. to not forget the person but to forget the sin.. ya know.. ❤️

The testimony wasn’t about him friend.. it was about what God did for him.. and what God did for his family and his marriage. His testimony was about Jesus and all the more reason why he has every reason to live for our God. ❤️ Only because of God he has a stronger marriage, and children in the Lord.. Only because of God him and his wife can endure because of what they’ve gone through.. that’s the biggest picture ❤️
