As the widow of an Egyptian I thank you ya'll for what ya'll are doing for orphans in Egypt. During the 6 months I lived in Egypt back in 1979/80 I actually envied the children digging through trash cans for food. My in-laws were low income & my new husband was not working so whatever they ate I was expected to eat. Cumin on everything including eggs. I can't tolerate cumin or all the other spices they love. Dipping bread in olive oil was too foreign to me.

Sorry Jeremy, George is correct about the current living room. I know you have your own plans and ideas and don't need anyone else giving advice, but I am an interior designer and can see how things would look in my head. By where the outlets are on the floor and having the TV opposite to the real fireplace, the couches should face each other. I would have put the TV above the fireplace like you had originally said since you will probably have one there once it is your master. And since there is already a real fireplace in that room, I would have never taken the electric fireplace in that room at all. It would go awesome in George's packing room on the wall that the real fireplace is on giving a false appearance that the house has two fireplaces. I think that the current living room is going to make an incredible master bedroom, but your view in the current master is amazing and the master bath and closet upstairs are just so beautiful, and I would want my master attached to those to save the huge cost of building a master bath in a non-plumbing portion of your home. Last thing and then I will never give my professional opinion again to you (since you really didn't ask). I remember you saying the wall in the kitchen is load bearing so also to save big money, I think that like George said the fridge could stay put (since it actually makes the perfect triangle kitchen workspace that is required by kitchen designers, where the sink, fridge and stove are all within a 15-foot triangle). And then remove the tv stand/storage to open up the Bible study/dining room like you want to. Sorry I couldn't help giving my opinion even though you already told everyone you have your own ideas and that it is your house to grow old in not ours. I have watched all your new house videos (and others) and have held my tongue through all of them and since I am very talkative, I couldn't help it. Have one Hales of a day!!!

Swap the brown sofa with the chair and scoot the middle sofa up a little and that should help utilize the floor outlets.

Guys, that place is not only your dream home… It is mine also. Just all of the nooks and crannies and the property itself… It is truly awe inspiring. Everything I could ever look for in a home without building it myself. Which, these days, would cost a large fortune based off of how much wood and other building supplies are selling for. You two are truly blessed and I hope to one day find my own dream home like yours. I just paid off the condo I bought three years ago and I’m going to be looking for another property to buy, if not two or more in the fall. Rent this one and another one or two out and then find the dream homes that they are going to pay for. You don’t know how much I appreciate these videos. Especially of this new home.
