The instrument platform of the 305-meter telescope at Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico fell at approximately 7:55 a.m. Puerto Rico time on December 1st...and it was all caught on camera!

My paternal family's hometown. Barrion Esperanza, Arecibo. So sad to see it come down like that. I still remember going there with my family and kids to view it and it was awesome.
