The plaintiff says the defendant is his sister. He claims he bought a car from her, but it’s a giant lemon and she won’t take it back. He’s suing for a refund. The defendant says her brother drove the car and worked just fine, and she had to go to the cops because the plaintiff and his wife were harassing her.

The defendant needs to stop lying. She was trying to speak carefully to avoid incriminating herself, but there was no way around it. Sounded like a bunch of gibberish! Glad Judge Milian has experience in these situations and looked closely at the title. #StopLying

I bought a car one time from a private party who was jumping title. I knew nothing about that phrase. I went to DMV to get it registered, found out it wasn't his to sell, they told me to get papers from title holder, which was hard to run down, did it, then the man that I bought from called and yeld and screamed at me. He must have gotten in trouble. Yay!! Not sure of his repercussions but I hope he got into trouble. OMG, I just looked it up. It's a felony in my state.

What a frickin liar, you can sell a car with a title not in your name. What happened is she bought the car and the previous owner signed the title but she never did anything with it. She can still sell it but it's illegal to do in most states without a dealer license.

I think they got lucky. They knew it wasn't in her name. People flip cars and trailers all the time without putting it in their name first. You just have to make sure the person that is buying it from you understands that when he goes to the DMV that he says he is buying it from the person on the tile. They weren't mad because of a bad title. They were mad about the crap car and got lucky the judge looked at the title.

Life is short as both plaintiff and defendant know, losing a sister YOUNGER than them both!!! The defendant seemed remorseful acknowledging her wrongdoings and seemed (to me) to want to rectify the issue. The plaintiff seemed Hellbent on holding a grudge over $1500.00(🧐) He’ll get his money back as the Judge ruled. Nah the sister sold him a car he legally could never own. Not to mention it was broken. She played him. She's not entitled to forgiveness just bc she said she is ready to move on. Ofc SHE is ready to move on- she's the one who did wrong! But trust takes time and effort to rebuild. She wasn't even willing to pay him back that shows she is not making even a small effort. She is the one who broke trust in the relationship. It is up to him to forgive her and up to her to put in that time and effort
